Like, honestly, I should be impressed by what I'm watching.
Ha! Yesterday was a good example, as JDR allowed DeVito to carve us a new asshole. I would've blitzed him any down that may suggest a pass play. I found myself "impressed" by Rivera and JDR's incompetence. It feels like these dumb mofos are trying to get fired. Hell! That's what I'd tell relatives and close friends if I were those two, as I'd be completely embarrassed to tell anyone I'm trying to win but put that product out there every week. |
EB would be entertaining at least.
Ron would cross his arms and make you do everything. Jack would let you F it all up but he'd defend you by calling it just a dust up.
Definitely bringing EB to an escape room |
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
We have nothing to lose moving forward, they should try Mason Brooks at LG. I bet he’s better than Charles and Paul, like his fiery attitude.

Yeah I was too. I really felt that if you could get him healthy and protect him, he was going to take off. Ron felt like Tua was never going to get healthy and that's why he went w/ Chase. Just an old defensive coach who I feel has no forward thinking skills. |
Rivera and JDR are demonstrating incompetence at such a highly elite fucking level. It's absolutely impressive how big of losers these 2 guys are. These motherfuckers are just out-of-this world atrocious at their jobs. Like, honestly, I should be impressed by what I'm watching.
I blame Ron the GM more anyone. Not sure why he ever felt like Jamin Davis was worthy of a 1st round pick. |

I was drafting Davis in mock-drafts in the 7th round that year, then by the draft, Rivera has him as a top-19 player in the draft. SMH. |

Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
I've said it all year I don't expect any moves to be made until after the season.
A lot of fans out for blood right now, I get it. But firing Ron/JDR on a short week before a national game would definitely be a disaster and it does nothing to make the team any better right now. |
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
Not sure it would do anything to make them worse, either tho
|
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
2 more chances for Rivera to be fired in season:
- On Friday, after this game, so we have 10 days before next game; or - Sunday Night (after the game)/Monday morning of the bye week |
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
5 games left after Thurs, honestly what's the point

Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
EB would be set up to fail, if he's smart he wouldn't take it.

I'm indifferent to when it's done, as long as it's done. Was just pointing out the only 2 possible times that would make sense if we don't wait. |
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
I think that if change during the season was forced by Harris the Riverboat will not fire JDR and Harris would fire the Riverboat and JDR
|
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
No coaching change till the end.
Rivera needs to suffer along with us. Let’s pad his stats. |
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
Typical Rivera pick, I’m sure there better replacements for Obada. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Jalen-Harris-LB-Arizona

From there, bring in a new GM and give him the clear authority to fire Ron when he thinks the time is right. Or fire Ron on Friday too. I am good as long as someone is fired Friday LOL |

I agree with this because there probably isn’t a person on Earth that can make lemonade outta this roster, but he would just have to perform better than Ron to show improvement so the bar is pretty damn low. I don’t know what I would do if it were up to me, but I think Id fire dumb and dumber the morning after the game Thursday and make EB the interim. Id have a long talk with him letting him know I am aware of the state of the team too. |

G - 1 you owe me an apology. As long as Ron Rivera is here don’t you ever think you can lose to my team. Thank God that was the last time you get to embarrass him.

I feel like the ownership moved on from players to invest in the future and likely at the expense of the present. Why are the coaches exempt from the same? Removing FO or coaches shows an invest towards the future. |

Because there is no deadline for getting something in exchange for the coaches or fo. If we could have gotten a new cone for the stadium parking lot for Ron he would have been gone. That being said fire everyone Thursday night. |

isn't that what CAR did to RR? hence why DS said Happy Thanksgiving to open his Jan 2 presser to announce RR as HC |

What if we fire RR on the way to the stadium and have Magic acting as HC for Thursdays game? in a world where no PR is bad PR, this would dominate all news channels. Even if Magic only responsibility is to challenges plays, he can't be any worse than RR. |
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
Heaven forbid a Commanders win over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving! It could postpone the relief I so desperately need. I actually want the Cowboys to beat us by 40 or 50 points to ensure that Josh Harris starts to clean house immediately.
I'll be at a friend's house on Thanksgiving and if he doesn't turn on the Commanders at Dallas game that's fine with me. I'm certainly not going to ask him to put in on. I've had all I can stand of our fossilized coaches. I'll be right back in the fold as soon as RR and JDR are gone. |
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
Whats the real reason on keeping Ron Rivera employed here? Lots of people say how he deserves to get to the end of the season, respect, Josh Harris doesn't want to be seen as impatient, etc..
Does RR add absolutely anything to the organization at this point? We stand a great chance of ending the season by losing every remaining game if he stays HC. Even by removing him, it doesn't guarantee any wins for the rest of the year, but I feel like you have a better chance without him. Is RR such a great guy that someone up top feels like they "owe" him to finish out the season as a kind gesture? |
Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
Yeah I’d say Ron has earned enough respect in this league to not can him during the season especially before the team has been officially eliminated from the playoffs.
What exactly is there to gain by firing him now? We saw Snyder fire coaches during the season, when did it ever work out for the positive? I think it just ends up being a bad look for ownership. |

If I can give MO, RR might not get fired, if upper management liked the way he guided the ship(per say) he might just get bumped upstairs and EB becomes HC with new assistants . That might have been the plain anyway. |

I like you G - 1. I do. But do not ever even think about suggesting we keep Ron Rivera anywhere near the team after this year, let alone actually saying it. Please and Thank you. First you come in here and suggest we have no shot of losing to your miserable team, and now you further try to ruin our good time by suggesting Ron fuckin Rivera gets some sort of reward for righting the ship. The whole notion that Ron bought stability is a joke. He just happened to be the only person desperate enough for another job that would work for Snyder. Just happened to be here when Snyders bs finally caught up with him. Damn you G-1. Lol. |

It’s a total Snyder move, the kind of stench we’re trying to get rid of. And you’re sending a bad message to the locker room. The grown up move is to clean house once the season is over. |

I think you might be right but a bit off on positioning. we will see Harris wait till end of season to hire a GM but we will be behind other teams that already had FO in place in HC hiring so will ride with Ron as HC for one more year. |

People forget what a badass Darrell Green was. He beat olympians (Herschel, Willie Gault, Rod Woodson, etc.)

Re: (Twice-annual guaranteed L) Giants postgame thread
I disagree with the bad reflection if Harris fires Ron in year 1.
It may be Harris´ first year as the owner - yet it is definately not Ron´s first year as a proven loser. I´d say fire him if you have a prospect replacement available, don´t fire him if you don´t. |
