How many trips do we think Trump took to Florida the last 4 years to play golf? Just curious what his eco impact was since we're suddenly so concerned about that. Hypocrisy is everywhere folks.
But he specifically was not eco concerned.
If i say i dont think marshmallows are bad to eat and i eat marshmallows i am not being hypocritical, i am only being offensive to those who do think marshmallows are harmful. If however i proclaim marshmallows to be a cause of incomparable damage to societal health and then proceed to eat the largest marshmallows available when a smaller marshmallow was available for the meal. THEN I am being a hypocrite. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Let's not even get started on lies and hypocrisy coming off four years of the Trump shitshow parade. Just a little too soon for that.

Going to change it though it is hypocritical of the democrats not the left. Kerry is an establishment democrat and very moderate. This is an example of why I have had such an issue with many of the establishment democrats. |

It’s as dumb as thinking killing the keystone pipeline means somehow means the wells stop...those wells never stop pumping but now it’s transported by oil trucks and rail....you guessed it, at a carbon footprint thousand times more damaging to the environment.
So you think Kerrys Jet was doing as much harm to the environment as a pipeline being built threw National Monuments and Parks? Where was you "outrage" when this shit was going on??? https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/trump-tariffs-driving-job-losses-production-cost-hikes-fed-says-2020-1-1028791979 President Trump's tariffs are harming the sector he pledged in 2016 to protect, according to a recent Federal Reserve study. The president's 2018 tariffs fueled job loss throughout the ailing manufacturing industry and increased input costs, the December 23 study said. The duties did provide some import protection to US-based firms, but any benefits were outweighed by boosted production expenses and retaliatory tariffs, the Fed added. The findings come as the US manufacturing sector remains mired in recession and a separate report says 2019 brought the most job cuts in four years. The Fed study, published December 23, explains how tariffs implemented in 2018 fueled job loss and increased input costs across US manufacturers. While the duties did provide some benefits to domestic firms, the negative effects outweighed the positive ones and harmed an already-ailing sector, the Fed wrote. "For manufacturing employment, a small boost from the import protection effect of tariffs is more than offset by larger drags from the effects of rising input costs and retaliatory tariffs," authors Aaron Flaaen and Justin Pierce wrote. "For producer prices, the effect of tariffs is mediated solely through rising input costs." The central bank noted that global supply chains also complicate the traditional utility of tariffs and other trade policy tools. The typical benefit of import protection fades away in today's global economy, according to the Fed, since reduced competition and higher production costs present greater harm in the short term. |

People like chico and the other trump cult members would jump if Kerry took a flight and went first class, they will bitch about anything. Second Kerry addressed it................... https://www.nationalreview.com/news/kerry-defended-taking-private-jet-to-iceland-for-environmental-award-the-only-choice-for-somebody-like-me/ "During the trip, Kerry was confronted by Icelandic reporter Jóhann Bjarni Kolbeinsson on whether his use of a private jet was an “environmental way to travel.” “If you offset your carbon, it’s the only choice for somebody like me, who is traveling the world to win this battle,” Kerry responded. The former secretary of state went on to emphasize his climate accomplishments, including negotiating the Paris accord for the U.S. and bringing Chinese President Xi to the table." “I’ve been involved in this fight for years,” Kerry said. “I believe the time it takes me to get somewhere, I can’t sail across the ocean, I have to fly to meet with people and get things done,” he continued. “But what I’m doing almost full-time is working to win the battle of climate change. And in the end, if I offset and contribute my life to do this, I’m not going to be put on the defensive.” Last week, Kerry recommended that oil and gas workers should pivot to manufacturing solar panels if their jobs are eliminated as a consequence of the Biden administration’s environmental policies. Biden signed several executive orders on climate change last week aimed at achieving the goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. During his first week in office, the president reentered the Paris climate accord, from which the Trump administration withdrew the U.S. in 2017. |

In the last two rounds of payments, individuals with prior-year incomes above $75,000 and couples with combined incomes above $150,000 got smaller checks or none at all. A whopping 90% of U.S. households received payments from the last round.
Democrats may lower the phaseout threshold to $50,000 for individuals and $100,000 for married couples, according to Democratic aides. (The Washington Post first reported the lower threshold was under consideration.) Earlier this week, a group of 10 Republican senators met with Biden at the White House and pitched him on a significantly smaller $600 billion relief package. Their plan calls for just $1,000 direct payments while reducing the income limit that determines eligibility to $50,000. Re: To 2021 and Beyond .... current politics
I think Pres. Biden ending support for forces supported by Saudi Arabia in Yemen is going to backfire. Iran has to be rejoicing that Biden is quickly making them a more stable country. Being the cynic I bet that we will see an increase in foreign terrorism in the next two years, and of course the response will be that we have to re-do the Iran Nuclear deal or some similar response that it makes it the US' fault for inciting them.

With Trump Gone, The Media No Longer Cares About ‘Kids In Cages’ As I reported earlier this week, the Biden administration is using euphemisms to distance itself from everything the media claimed to hate about the Trump administration and its treatment of illegal immigrants. For example, “cages” are now called “hard-sided structures.” Trump was also relentlessly attacked for his “tent cities.” Biden is reopening one of these facilities to hide the children of illegal immigrants, and it may require tents, but don’t worry, they’re not really “tents,” they’re now “semi-permanent (soft-sided)” structures. Those euphemisms were in an official statement from the Department of Health and Human Services announcing it would reopen a “temporary Influx Care Facility.” The issue on the border has been around for decades. It was the Obama administration that built the “cages” used by the media as a cudgel against Trump. It wasn’t until Trump was in office when people began sharing a 2014 article and photo (when Obama was still in office) to start talking about “kids in cages.” Only idiots and liars refuse to see the double standard of the media at this point. The trump administration produced the hard evidence receipts which clearly states Obama and Biden originally built the cages and tents...when trump used them it was apparently bad....now Biden already opening them up again and the media is trying to re-label what they are... Re: To 2021 and Beyond .... current politics
Chico, you're my boy blue, but you should create a Biden "enough is enough" type thread. Your posts are all about shitting on Biden, which in general I get, anyone that is not a democrat, has got the business for the last 4 years, so turnabout is fair play.
But, not that my opinions mean 2 shits more than anyone else's, I'd kinda like a 2 thread system, similar to what we have for COVID. It would be nice to have a thread where we can share things we might somewhat agree on or somewhat disagree on. And then have another thread for where the strong disagreements are shared. A political Festivus airing of the grievances thread. |
