Question, does everyone realize that Tampa Bay has a bottom 3 Oline and no run game? People already puttin them in the playoffs...I think it’s extremely short sighted at this point. |

Hopefully Brady will demand Bucs to trade for Williams, it would be win-win situation for both teams. |

Ronald Jones is a pretty good running back and they can always/quickly upgrade at that position IMO (Melvin Gordon is a free agent for example). I think Brady is the type of guy that can vastly improve an o-line due to his quick release. I had Tampa Bay as the #2 destination for Brady. Honestly, I don't know how he didn't end up with the Chargers. |

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Tom has one of the quickest releases in football, they are STACKED at WR/TE.. If they trade for Trent , I could see them easily winning 10 games or more.. They won 7 with Winston having 30 ints

I believe they will have to go the wild card route being in the Saints division. 10 wins got Minnesota in last year as the 6th seed. They were 7-9 last year with Winston and it looks like the presence of Brady has attracted people to want to play there. I would give it a 50% chance of double digit wins and a play-off appearance. Of course at 43 Brady is probably going to start aging in dog years. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Atlanta, New Orleans and Carolina...much tougher than Jets, Dolphins and Buffalo over the last 10 years.
They have good coaching in Tampa, but I need to see who else they add this offseason before I say playoffs |

Details on Brady's deal, $50 mil fully guaranteed. IMO a bit ridiculous he wasn't the first QB with a fully guaranteed deal, but I digress. No tag or trade clause in the contract. |

Not only a poor blocker, but refuses to even try to block. Doesn't strike me as a RR kind of guy, and IMO this is no loss. |

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
We will be forced to draft need over BPA.
|
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
I don't know what Ron even thinks need is right now, sure doesn't look like the same list we all thought
|
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Not the first time we've gone into a draft with a need, not sure what the TE panic is all about.

Its a glaring need though and a thin TE class |

because we should have reset it last year and we are again in a passing offense which features the TE...as well as we need some run blocking as well. |

We arent legit competing next season. I think we have this offseason and next offseason to put together a complete roster. 2022 is the first year of our window to compete. I wanted Hooper but am happy we didnt even sniff Ebron. Besides, there will be TC cuts, etc ... if the season stays on schedule. If we dont have our starting TE on week 1 of 2022, then I will be disappointed. Bout 18 months til then. |

I think people are stuck in the mindset that TE is our first receiving choice. Terri McLaurin is our #1 receiving choice. While I would have loved to get someone like Hooper, to me it is not the end of the world. I wouldn't mind Eifert, if he's healthy. I also would like for us to develop a TE from the draft. |

It is a "win now" league but to take the approach that every offseason you must fully commit to winning that season at all costs is an extreme view. Under that theory, we should trade all picks in 2020 and 2021 and 2022 for players who can help now in 2020. I cant remember where I heard it and it was general coach speak but it was either RR or Smith who basically said (through implication) that they are using 2020 as a year focus on what they have and need to have. That they do want to win now (like RR said in his intro presser) but the know its a process. Redskins arent competing for the Super Bowl next year. They know it. Vegas knows it. I think a lot of people know it. We have 200/1 odds next year, better than only Bengals/Jags at 300/1. We have 2 offseasons to add pieces to truly compete. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Oh Super bowl? Heck no lol, but the whole "we are going to be bad" stuff may not be true.

I think he's got a longer leash than that. Look at how long Gruden got here. |

I also would like for us to develop a TE from the draft.
I don't think its that at all...much like Turner's dad, the TE is vital to a producing offense within his scheme. Everyone know no free agent TE can match the receiving threat of McLaurin. At this point Id go Eifert over Walker at TE...add another one in the draft. |

Agreed, I dont think we will be bad-bad. We have some nice young pieces. I could see like a 6-10 next year. If Haskins can continue to develop and we add the right pieces .. I dont think we are SB bound in 2022 but I do think playoffs is the goal. By 2023, our goal should be NFCE champs and possible SB contenders. If we dont crack .500 by year 3 ... welp. |

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
If he was a FA he'd get signed in a heartbeat.
Maybe. From what I have heard, it's not been from what the 'skins have been asking in a trade, it's been more about Trent's asking price. In that case, it wouldn't matter if he's a free agent or not, TW's asking price is too high for a player who sat out all season last year and has not played the entire season for a few seasons. |

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Veteran quarterback Brian Hoyer has agreed to a one-year, $1 million deal with the Patriots with an additional $2 million in incentives, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Ok, if Belichick has to go to Hoyer over Stidham sometime in the season and the Patriots still win double digit games that confirms he was more responsible for the dynasty than Brady. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Then you got players like Tom Brady 6th round, George Kittle 5th round and others being all pros. I have confidence Kyle Smith will find our TE in the draft.
