NFL Lost another Good Guy !
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32972670/dan-reeves-former-nfl-coach-player-dies-77 ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Dan Reeves, who appeared in nine Super Bowls as a player, assistant coach and head coach, died at his home in Atlanta on Saturday. He was 77. Reeves is one of only 10 coaches to have won at least 190 regular-season games in his career, and he guided two teams -- the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons -- to the Super Bowl and was the head coach of the New York Giants for four seasons. With a 201-174-2 NFL coaching record overall, including the postseason, he is one of only nine coaches in NFL history with 200 total wins. His Super Bowl appearances as an individual have been topped only by quarterback Tom Brady and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick. |

I worked with a guy back in the early 90s, he was a huge Meatloaf fan and he found out where he lived and showed up to his house asking for an autograph (he lived somewhere in CT at the time). Instead of sending this crazy stalker fan away, Meatloaf welcomed him in and they ended up becoming friends. From all accounts he was a super nice guy and very down to earth, he even coached little league baseball. |

My Brother had a run in(good one) with him after a he played at a club in NJ in the late 70's .So my brother was a roadie for a small local band back then and they all went to see this guy call "meatloaf" and a small club and the band got introduced to him said he was real nice. They are over to the side of the stage and there was a problem with an amp and my brother fixed it. It's the end of the night and they are closing up as they were all going home "Meat" asked if there was any place to get something to eat, so my brother took him another guy and one of his band friends to a New Jersey open all night Diner ,said they had a great time then dropped back at the Hotel. Yes he paid for the Diner. |

RIP to the passengers and crew of MU5735. No way anybody survived that nosedive. Overall I tend to lean towards the 99% of successful flights that happen without incident, but all these 737 crashes last few years are starting to plant the seed of concern in me. Flying later this week on a 737 - but hoping SW's track record of maintenance is better than Asia's. |

Re: R.I.P. thread
RIP to the 10 people killed in Buffalo. And also so sorry to all of the families/friends affected by this.
Sat on this for a couple days, as I wasn't sure exactly what to say. I still don't. I am so sorry that this man and whatever groups he was a part of are filled with so much hate as to kill strangers for not looking like them. It's sad, heartbreaking, frustrating, upsetting, disgusting, infuriating, that this man did this. I pray that the people still here that knew the victims, and all of us, can still find hope and love each other well, and not let evil men tear us apart. Matthew 11:28-30: Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." |

My heart aches for his family. It is so mind blowing to me that i watched my son play lax last night and in the same community at nearly the same time a family found out they lost their son of the same age as mine. As a parent that is a bullet to your heart. |
