It requires a QB to make those throws too. Kirk routinely overthrew or under threw those long passes.

Bortles hasn't played good in the past two games. He played well in December and that's it. Hell, he played terrible today until the 4th quarter.

They seriously need to upgrade the QB spot.

Jacksonville is one game away from the SB. Doubt they're going to pay Kirk north of 25 million. They can go get Alex Smith or Eli for much cheaper and probably get close to the same production.

I really haven't watched any of the games. Too many stupid ass calls that we see all the time and I've just lost a passion to watch because of it. Then to top it off there's too much stopping and starting of the game, like stupid challenges that take too long, too many tv ads, useless 2:00 warning.

Sorry ,I know I am alone but I want to drop replay and leave all in the hands of the refs. The guys are afraid to make a call ,the new rules are as much a mystery to them as they are to the players.

Love that the Steelers lost. Tomlin and Bell were both talking Patriots and Bell said explicitly that that was the game that mattered. Enjoy the offseason.

They are there in spite of Bortles, not because of him. Bortles is due 19million next year. No way they are going to have him account for 19mil against the cap with his play.

This will be just like when the Ravens won with Trent Dilfer and immediately replaced him the following year.

They aren't cutting Eli. Period. Even if they draft a QB, they'll keep him on for another year at the least. It's going to take some draft picks for them to move Eli. His dead cap hit would be 12.5 mil. His cap hit for 2018 is 22mil.


Also, Manning has a no-trade clause in his contract. Not going anywhere he doesn't want to go.

It would be the ultimate show of disrespect to keep Eli and draft a QB at 2. Giants will draft a lineman at 2 and keep Eli or trade him to the Jags for their first rounder.

The only wildcard for Kirk would be the Saints if Brees retires. But I could see them talking him into staying one more year and drafting Jackson.
