Him or Cliff Harris would be a 3rd round steal.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
Last week I projected how the schedule would pan out for us and our draft prospects. Here is an update....

Indianapolis Colts 0-16 2. St. Louis Rams 2-14 3. Minnesota Vikings 2-14 4. Cleveland Browns 4-12 5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-12 6. Jacksonville Jaguars 5-11 7. Kansas City Chiefs 5-11 8. Washington Redskins 5-11 9. Miami Dolphins 5-11 10. Carolina Panthers 6-10 |
If we pick 8th, all 3 QBs will be gone by then, who knows what this team is going to do anyway, shanny has 1 more season IMO to get this right
|
I still say 4-12
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
If that draft order happens I don't think we go QB in round 1.

When Danny hired Shanny, Shanny made him guarantee that he would get 5 years or Shanny didn't want the job. |

True but I really hope they don't have to. |

Oh same here, but sometimes people (in general, not calling out anyone in particular) act like that is not an option. |

You really think we are going to lose to Minnesota the way we've played the Jets and Patriots?! |

I don't remember saying that. I remember saying that I don't think we will pick 8th. |

My bad. I thought you made an earlier post saying we would finish 4-12. That was SkinsfanInOk. nevermind... |

Does that mean he can't fire him? It's DS |

That means he will be paying Shanny either way and would lose credability with pretty much any other coach out there that wants to take the job. |

It wont. Who would want the job if he does fire Shanny? No one. |

Thats what I'm afraid of, Honestly I was shocked Mike took the job luckily we have BA running the show now |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
If the season ended today we would have the 5th Overall pick, just heard that on ESPNRADIO

And he's certainly going to have a better pick of coaches than Stephen Ross will.

Thats a good thing |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
I think the Redskins are going to finish 5-11, and pick 6th overall.
1. Indianapolis (1-15) 2. St. Louis (2-14) 3. Minnesota (3-13) 4. Cleveland (4-12) 5. Tampa Bay (4-12) 6. Washington (5-11) 7. Jacksonville (5-11) 8. Buffalo (5-11) 9. Carolina (5-11) 10. Kansas City (5-11) |

But there are still many scenerios where we end up picking 6th I think...wait and see. |

False. Not according to ESPN Stats & Information. Draft Watch: Redskins would hold No. 5 pick - NFC East Blog - ESPN |

Arizona is on a 4 games winning streak. Don't see that happening now especially since McCoy could be out. Tampa has no chance to beat Dallas or Carolina. They have lost 7 straight. That's a longer losing streak than us earlier in the year. Don't see it happening. Maybe I'm just looking at it differently, but I don't see how we are going to be in the 4-6 range like a lot of people on here are speculating. I know we have a pretty weak strength of schedule, but there are going to be a lot of 5-11 teams. |
Skins won't beat NY or PHI IMO and Minn is a toss up
|
4-12 will get us around 5 maybe 4 it is very possible plus viks could beat Chicago also, those guys are free falling

The Redskins remaining opponents are 14-25. |

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
I watched the NC State game the other night, not that we can get him this year because he's a true sophmore, but David Amerson, looks like Darrelle Revis with Nnamdi's body...we could definitely be in position to get him next year.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
Read the washington post and they mentioned some guys that either would fit our team And/Or guys that we have interest in.
Heres one of them it mentioned who is impressive, like 6'5 220 4.6 forty impressive Brian Quick WR App State Brian Quick 2011 Highlights WR Appalachian State - YouTube |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
Also Matt Reynolds BYU LT really impressed me, he's tough and fast, reminds me of a young Jon Runyan

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
Word is Cincinnati wants to trade down to get Trent Richardson. With him, they have a potential Aikman/Irvin/Smith trio developing with Dalton/Green/Richardson. What if the skins traded the 6th pick for Cincy's 19th and 24th.
RGIII will probably go to Cleveland. Maybe they go all out for Flynn and trade back to get Cincy's 2 picks in the first round? Maybe they add a WR in free agency like Bowe or Colston and use Cincy's picks on O-line and LB or CB? |

I feel like Cleveland will take RG3, so there is one QB gone. If we trade with Cinncy for their 19th pick and 24th picks, then we would be behind Seattle. Seattle, in my opinion, is probably going to reach and pick up Tannehill, thus screwing us over once again. There are so many scary scenarios I can think of that involve us getting screwed over this season in our quest for a franchise QB. |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
The only way the Redskins should trade down is gathering two late first round picks, otherwise we need elite talent. Although we won't be able to get a franchise quarterback in the draft (nobody but Cleveland and Indy will), we can still continue to build depth similar to what we've gotten at RB, WR, OLB, S.
Blackmon Kirkpatrick One will be available, one should be our guy. |

Or was that conditional? |

I don't see Skins trading down, last year they did it because Kerrigan was wildly underrated and weren't in a position to get a superstar. This year they will be. |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Prospects
well some great prospects playing today
Alfonzo Dennard CB Nebraska- doing pretty good on jeffery minus two plays Alshon Jeffery WR SC- is having a beast game against dennard David DeCastro OG Stanford- The best guard in college football; some say best guard since Steve Hutchinson Johnathan Martin OT Stanford- Solid LT expected to be a top 10 pick Andrew Luck- ...yeah Justin Blackmon WR OKSU- Basically Anquan Boldin just slightly faster LaMichael James RB Oregon - maybe the fastest RB in the draft, and to come out in a few years. David (or Kevin?) Zeitler OG Wisconsin- solid guard would fit our scheme. Peter Konz C Wisconsin- Junior who is expect to declare, is 6'5 315lb and is considered the best center to come out since Nick Mangold. Mark Asper G/T Oregon- is very athletic and fast 6'7 330lb would also fit our scheme well. Markell Martin FS OKSU- Best FS in the draft. Levi Adock OT OKSU- Very good tackle could be a solid RT in the NFL. Kolby Fleener TE Stanford- Very good TE for Stanford, could be solid replacement for Cooley. |
