Graham Harrell is in this draft? Really? we should pick him up in the 6th... Brennan and Harrell? And i don't care if they play in a spread offense or not, its COLLEGE, they get more practice passing. But yea, 5th round, maybe Meredith will fall?

I agree but they take the BPA at the positions of need which is a good approach. I'm still scratching my head about Fred Davis last year but besides that I think they are picking BPA at need positions. Also there has to be a reason that Meredith and Robinson are falling. Our FO aren't the only ones who have passed. Im sure Bugel is saying that Meredith just isn't better than Heyer or Clark. And maybe Bugel sees something in Rhinehart. That should give us some hope.

According to JLC, the Skins were trying to trade down during the 3rd round. I guess they couldn't and took Barnes. Once again, we don't know what happens behind close doors during these negotiations. It would have been nice to get more picks, but you need two parties to make a trade.

Just heard on the NFLN some reasons why Meridith and Robinson have slipped...

- Meredith: off the field issues
- Robinson: weight fluctuation and work ethic issues

If they continue to drop, we can pick them up in the later rounds.

Giants: Hixon, Tyree, Manningham, even Moss

Agree with you that this is a pretty lackluster group but they seemed to do just fine against us in our second meeting.

Cowboys: Miles Austin

I think he could have a breakout year.

But all in all you're right in a sense that they aren't amazing but I just dont see Smoot as a reliable Nickel and what if there were an injury? Barnes was a favorite of mine coming into the draft so obviously i'm biased but I think he is the type of player who has the intelligence to make an impact in this league. Who knows though

Two of my picks i thought we should have gotten from the third round are still on the board, Jamon Meredith, OT out of South Carolina, the reviews on this kid are stellar, and Duke Robinson, a OG from Oklahoma, who is also a beast. Some young depth at OL could definitely not hurt us.
