Curl is another guy that needs to be extended. He should receive a pretty fat contract. What a great find by the team.
Prior to this weekend PFF had Curl and Forrest rated as the No 1 and 2 safeties in thd league this year. Whether PFF ratings mean anything is another question
Slight side note, I'm excited at having Curl and Forrest as our safety tandem for the next couple of years. I believe Kam's contract is up, so I hope the team makes it a priority to keep him.

21 rushing yds against on 16 carries ... our team run D ranking is gonna jump a few spots up this week

He has one more year on his rookie deal but is eligible for a new contract in the off season. Hopefully they deal with that as soon as possible

Forrest and Davis have been awesome developments this year.

Beginning of the season the defense looked like the devil's taint.

Week 12, it looks like we have quite a few damn good football players.

Very impressive turnaround by the coaches and players.

This defense is legit, far better than we even saw in 2020.

The run d is great and they can also rush the passer.. We lack that explosive rusher like Dallas has but we make up for it with the interior DL
Not necessarily, he was pretty good when he was with Bengals. It's just that he was a bad fit for our defense system.
He was a man to man corner with Cincy. We tried to fit him in our zone heavy scheme. Poorly thought out, but at least we cut our losses.

The final 6 games

V ATLANTA
@ NYG
V NYG
@ SF
V BROWNS
V DALLAS

If we limit the TO's and play this way on defense I could see 5-1 or 4-2

That gets you to 10 wins and most likely a WC spot

I definitely think 10 wins is the magic number, very doable if they keep up this current play.

Got to sweep the Giants. Dallas will be tough. And SF is playing a lot better these days.

Yup those Giant games are huge but let’s just concentrate on the Falcons. Getting full rest. Hopefully finally getting Chase back. Maybe Holcomb?
Home game. It is a must win.
4 home games is huge if the crowd shows up in the right colors.
Another great effort by defense, what an amazing turnaround they have done.Anemic effort on offense, thank God for that interception to get us going. For a defense that can’t stop the run they sure did a good job on us.Vanilla Gorilla with another dumb ass play, if I was Rivera I would fine him for being such a dumbass
That was dumb indeed, but he's a rookie, and he was making an awesome play, TFL with an Oline in front of him, I agree he has to know this is going to get flagged (IMO he was lucky not to get ejected), but with the position the RB was in, it kinda was a "natural" to bring him down. Still stupid. But still a very talented rookie who keeps making plays. Very excited for his future with us!

Awesome win, love this style of play. There is no debate about TH, everybody knows he's not a long term starter, every body loves the guy, and every body has to love the whole locker room seems to love him and play harder when he's on the field.

-Darrick Forrest is developing into a very good safety.

-McCain makes play but keeps taking stupid angles.

-Bostic is a good tackler but he is getting slower every minute. The way he ran after the WR on that first big play by Houston was comical.

-Our offense with a decent NFL QB would be legit dangerous.

-Question, any word on the timing of Cosmi getting the starting job back during the game? He had some snaps last week too, but he got in during the first half and never got out again. Was it following a Cornelius Lucas mistake ?

Love the win. Yes against a baaad team, but to limit them to 3 points in the first 3 quarters was what good teams do: they legitimately dominate bad teams. They keep playing like that and even I might end up liking that stupid name. TAKE COMMAND !

I hope the Eagles go 16-1. So forever we fucked up their perfect regular season.

We're not catching them anyways. Might as well have them help us out along the way while being the team that beat them.

Re: Houston has a problem post game

Oh, side note, credit to those of you who've been raving about John Bates' blocking for weeks. If I'm being honest, without paying extra attention to him, I was like "yeah he's doing the job, and it's been a while since we had a decent blocking TE, but the "top blocking TE in the league" talk is over the top, it's not like he's mauling people Gronk or Georges Kittle style"...

But for the first time this week I saw him legitimately maul people. He's not the most physical TE in the league, but he's consistently blocking and he has the ability to pancake someone every now and then.
