Re: With the 15th Pick, the Redskins select...
They need help everywhere. And one draft is not going to make them a playoff team. They have no QBs under contract for 2020, so developing one in 2019 might be a good move.
I'm glad we got rid of that pesky Alex Smith contract? |

healthy QBs and there is a good chance Smith will be cut before the 2020 season |
healthy QBs
and there is a good chance Smith will be cut before the 2020 season
Alex Smith's base salary in 2020 will be $16 million...what they can do is trade him to a team that will account for something around $10 million while the Redskins account for $6 million of his salary....that way the Redskins don't have to cut him and eat the whole $16 milion....and to add they can get a player or a mid round/late round pick in the deal. |

I do not understand this site, it says there would be a $32 million dead cap hit if Smith is cut in 2020.... no one will trade for him if he is not healthy https://overthecap.com/calculator/washington-redskins/ |

Who the F would trade for Smith??

https://overthecap.com/calculator/washington-redskins/
Their are some guys that are eternal optimists and their heads are full of wishful thinking. I have always been the opposite of that. I don't think Alex Smith ever plays another down of NFL football again. A gruesome injury like that would have been bad enough if the guy was in his early 20's, healed without complications and played for a contender. The Alex situation is the opposite of that, he is in his mid 30's, had complications, and plays for a team that is a long way from contending. |

Sometimes we (even myself) need to think before posting. Alex Smith is probably not even playing again much less getting traded. |
Re: With the 15th Pick, the Redskins select...
I hope Redskins don't like Haskins that much.. Apparently some teams don't have 1st round grade on Haskin according to Mike Clay, so he probably will fall to us.

https://twitter.com/MikeClayNFL/status/1118125967124385792
Has only had 1 year of tape, played in a weak conference. Can't move and isn't the most accurate guy. Is he worth the risk at #15? Maybe but I'd rather have Grier at 46 if Rosen falls through |
Who the F would trade for Smith??
An Osweiler type trade of picks for cap space isn't likely but is possible with a team another team going through a rebuild with excess cap space.
I would rather have the picks and the cheap 1st contracts but crazier things have happened. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Never say never but I'd put the odds of someone trading for Smith at 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001

He reminds me of Culpepper in some ways even though like I said before, I don't watch college football much so I cannot determine if he has potentials. From what I have seen on the highlights, I wasn't impressed. If we are going to draft a QB that will need some time to develop, I prefer to use 2nd or 3rd day pick to draft a QB instead of investing 1st round pick in Haskins and then develop him. |

He's a smart kid when it comes to X's and O's but overall he isn't ready to play at the NFL Level yet. To be honest I'm not sure any of these guys are, which is y I want Rosen |

It is. But it's less ridiculous than a poster on a Redskins forum claiming to know how QBR is calculated. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
