Re: #86 Jordan Reed
We've been missing Reed from a ton of games now. We were still able to compete well in Seattle and for most of the New Orleans game. This move to IR in no way explains why the team has gone in the toilet over the last two games.

The final straw was the CT injury IMO, that just killed this offense |

Still no excuse for why we can't run in short yardage with players like Williams and Scherff playing, and a big back like Perine in the backfield. I know that's not your point. Just saying how absurdly reductionist it is to say that injuries are our chief problem. |

I would argue that Jonathan Allen going down was a huge blow to our defense. You can clearly see a different monster pre and post JA injury. I think the CT injury exploited an offense that was overly reliant on him, which is probably to your point. On offense we weren't destroyed by injuries across the board, but got dealt a death blow due to our lack of talent (specifically on the WR corps). No way to recover from that. But I see your point. Saying just "INJURIES" is a lazy and inaccurate statement on its own. I think it's probably not valid as standalone, but a large contributor to a bad season. Lastly, why the fuck can't we run in short yardage situations ever? I'm curious as to what teams that can run in short yardage situations do differently and how we can replicate that. |

32 Ryan Grant Washington Redskins WR 72.5% 35 Chris Thompson Washington Redskins RB 72.2% 80 Vernon Davis Washington Redskins TE 63.8% 81 Jamison Crowder Washington Redskins WR 63.5% And this is prob why, Grant (who people kill here) actually leads our team in catch %. |

Your the eternal optimist, we get that. The chances of Reed getting healthier as he ages are slim, expect more of the same or worse. He had one game this year where he really made an impact. As far as dead money if he is cut or traded, his whole salary was basically dead money this year. |
Re: #86 Jordan Reed
I wouldn’t say it’s about being optimistic, more like realistic. It’s unlikely anyone would trade for him, and when healthy he’s a difference maker. He’s got the type of talent that’s worth taking the chance on.

No you can say that, and you would be 100% right. The "no push" in the middle in the run game kills this team. Also a general lack of experienced talent at RB is another. |

Im with quake. I thought it could be chalked up to no interior push and no blocking TEs ... but it does seem like a cop out. We have 2 studs in Trent and Scherff and Moses is above average. We should have been able to scheme/coach up/help an average LG and C. I always thought RBs were just a product of O line and scheme and you dont need a top end RB .... but idk. Baffling that it has been going on for years now. We have a great O line coach, some O line studs ... wth is going on? |
Re: #86 Jordan Reed
So they are going to hang on to him.... let's hope in 2018 Reed plays all 16 games and doesn't get injured at all.
