I guess you and I are dense, because I have many of the same concerns. Talented no doubt, and sure it's a limited financial risk. But there are reasons to be concerned with this signing.

Everyone should have at least some concern about this signing, even if folks disagree about the level of concern and whether it warrants taking a pass - unless you can not a whit about the character of guys on the team. For those (like me) who do, while I'd vote to pass on the guy, I don't assume folks who weigh it differently are dense (or indifferent to domestic violence). No reason for this to devolve to name-calling. Let's save that for the Cowpukes.

I agree...most concerned about what I read about a division within the saints lockerroom and how in come cases he may have been a contributing factor. But I don't know this for sure.

I thought his Twitter rant is petty and a big red flag for immaturity and not being a good teammate as well.

Of course the video speaks for itself...def not the way a man should carry himself...ever. But that's been 2 years ago, things change. Haitian Indiana jones with a belt as a whip...

With all that said, Matty made the best point...u got to believe in a contract year and a fresh start he will be smart enough to keep his shit together and contribute. The financial part is mute ..vet min...no risk. Those 2 things make this a thumbs up. McC is willing to give someone else a chance like the skins gave him

It's him. He had pictures of him/friends at beach and they were all wearing what those people in the video were wearing.

Pure coincidence regarding the clothes. If you look carefully, the man in the video is wearing clothes from K-Mart. No NFL player would wear clothes from K-Mart.

I think the ear lobe discrepancy and the fact that Junior had ten sacks last season prove conclusively that the man in the video is not him.

Judgment should be withheld until Murphy's improvement is fully evaluated.

Realistically based on what we know, this is a risky and unwise move.

But the key part is - do you believe in McC, since he's telling us in no uncertain terms he's done a Lot of research on this guy and it checks out. Knighton vouches for the guy. I personally think there's risk -- but im willing to trust that our brass has done their due diligence to reduce risks. For vet minimum this could create a ferocious d-line, at least on paper. And if he works out, there's potential for us to lock him up longer term next year. Murphy and preston will get their time to develop.

Not sure I see much risk involved here, if he's a turd you cut him. We've got some good leadership on D to hopefully have him fall in line with.
