Re: Darrelle Revis is up for trade per Jets owner
The NFL is a funny business, so any trade is possible and any move is possible. Your always going to have exceptions to your own rules of players. Wake maybe 30, but he's been in the league for 3 years. Ware is still a beast and the same player he's been for the past 8+ years. Fitz I've noticed his speed has declined over the years. As I stated in the first post, these are the only players id consider trading for, assuming the other team would consider trading them. Obviously 90% of those players will probably never be traded, but if any of those players would be traded I would definitely give up picks or players not named robert griffin for them.
Fitzgerald is just as fast he just does not have a QB to throw him a deep ball. Last year he was averaging 17 yards a catch, you will look slow if no one can get you the ball deep, or the ball at all. He is still just as good as he always has been. Revis also has had injury problems which is why I would not trade for him. The year before hamstring, this year knee, not exactly healthy. Ware fell of this year (due to injury). Against the Redskins he looked broken. But anything is possible. If you notice however, every player mentioned plays for the team they were drafted by except for Wake but he is special in the way he came to the league, basically an UDFA... that is why you draft your own players and develop them to be beast. Hence why I do not like trades in the first place. |

NO WR is worth 15+ million a year. None. The game's most important spots are the QB followed by the OL/DL. Those are the places you invest heavily in. The Lions and Cards will be dreading that decision to give those contracts out. |

I'll agree with that. Why I was not a big fan of giving Garcon a big contract. |
Re: Darrelle Revis is up for trade per Jets owner
They can have our 2nd, 5th, and Rob Jackson.
|
Re: Darrelle Revis is up for trade per Jets owner
let's trade our entire draft for revis, then trade revis and a future 2nd for champ bailey

Re: Darrelle Revis is up for trade per Jets owner
Whose says he want a 100 million dollar contract. What people don't get is dude is the best of the best. He would instantly make our defense better. Him, with Rak and Carricker and Merriweather coming back and add a Safety and we have an playoff defense. We would be favorites in our division.

Re: Darrelle Revis is up for trade per Jets owner
GW we had a playoff defense this year.
With what we had on the field. They aren't the best but they helped get us to the playoffs, and with a little help from the offense could have won some more. Could they use some upgrades? Sure, but I believe with our players returning healthy, a few draft additions, and a couple lower priced free agents we can get the same result. |

We won our 1st game when he was not injured. He missed some time and we were loosing. He came back and we started winning again. Seems like a good investment. We had a better winning % with RGIII out then we did with Garcon out. |

Last I checked we had a playoff D this year and the game we lost in the playoffs was not because of our D. |

You have to play in more than 10 games in order to be a good investment. I agree he was a stud when healthy, but the value of a receiver to me is not worth 42 million, especially one that misses a large portion of the season. |
Re: Darrelle Revis is up for trade per Jets owner
Id trade Orakpo for Revis.
But no way would we be able to give up Cousins, we all know that. Captain Kirks not getting Matt Flynn`d anytime soon. maybe they can swipe that cap penalty away finally. I dont think were gonna get him though. We also screw ourselves and waste money right before the best players become available ive noticed. |

I like Revis but you can have the best corners but without a pass rush you will get beat, and beat often. |

dude, Revis > Orakpo. Not really an arguement |
Re: Darrelle Revis is up for trade per Jets owner
What do we have to trade with? We certainly can't pay him either.

Re: Darrelle Revis is up for trade per Jets owner
Revis wants top 5 in the nfl money, it's been said many times. Why would we pay that.
