LOL that's bush but I'll take it |
Re: RGIII Heisman Winner
Obviously there is a lot to like about RGIII and if he wears burgundy next year I will be excited.
But that windup of his still gives me the willies. It's easier to get away with a windup like that in college than in the NFL - just ask Leftwich. |

His release is very quick and he has a perfect over the top throwing motion. The only thing that worries me is his footwork at times. He tends to throw off his back foot a lot. However, good coaching can fix that. |
Re: RGIII Heisman Winner
The Heisman is an excellent indicator of something about a QB.
He will not make it to the Super Bowl and win it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! |

Re: RGIII Heisman Winner
Only thing that would have me worried about RG III is his injury from a year ago. Doesn't seemed to have bothered him much this season, but still, I'm always worried about players who are seriously hurt in college. How many of those guys go on to the NFL and have long, productive, healthy careers?

Correction, the 2009 season, he missed with an ACL tear. |
Re: RGIII Heisman Winner
So rumor has it (not that its a surprise) that RGIII's parents are looking at agents. I don't see any reason for him to stay in school. That defense is the reason he won't be in a BCS bowl game, and he just risks himself from getting injured next year. If its the whole law school thing that he's worried about, he can always get that degree later.

Let's see in how many different threads we can bring this up |
Re: RGIII Heisman Winner
I would almost be more excited about him than Luck. Don't get me wrong, I think Luck is going to be an outstanding NFL QB, but after seeing all the articles and interviews with Griffin leading up to the Heisman I think he will be something special. In my opinion intelligence is more important than physical skills in terms of being a QB, but Griffin has both in spades.
You're nuts. Luck's floor, talent wise, is higher than most of the qbs in this draft's ceiling. While we all know there is no such thing as a sure thing, Luck looks to be as close to one as you can get. Basically, the only thing that can keep Luck from being an elite qb, aside from injury, is Andrew Luck. In my opinion, the worst case scenario for Luck, injury not included is Jeff George. Jeff George, as we all know, was perhaps the most talented qb of the modern era but his ego was bigger than his talents. If you can choose between any and all of the qbs in this draft, you take Luck 1000 times out of 1000 chances. It's a no brainer. He may be a bust, but no one will ever blame you for taking him. |
