Nicks has potential to be more of a beast than Plaxico but Nicks has dropped a lot of passes that he should have caught in his 1st 2 seasons and has been out with sporadic injuries (he missed 3 games last year do to various injuries).

Also Nicks is 4 inches shorter than Plaxico. Manning's money play was always throwing a jump ball to Plaxico in one on one situations knowing that the taller Plaxico would either come down with the ball or draw a pass interference penaly. He used to do this all the time in goaline situations. I think the loss of Plaxico has been part of the Giants problem in the redzone over the last couple of years.

And it was made worst by the hurricane. They played the Jets on Monday and have another pre season game on Thursday vs New England.

The 3 day turnaround has totally screwed up their practice schedule and Tom Coughlin has made it clear that he will rest all his starters on for the NE game.

So I'm sure all those Pats fans who paid full price for tixs to this preseason game will love watching the Giants 3rd stringers play.

Nope, Pax although one hell of a big target wasn't the super target most people claim he was ,the man drops as many balls as anyone and as Sanchez is beginning to find out ...he runs crappy routs.
the Giants biggest problem the last couple of years ...luck,or lack of it ...injuries have killed the Giants, 2 years ago it was the D-line ,last year the wideouts and O-line men...this year so far Corners.Eveyteam has to deal with them and the Giants don't deal with them well.
