Re: Heisman Watch: Give It To Toby Gerhart
Lets be honest, not many teams in the Big 12 really have a stellar defense, McCoy looked all world until he ran into the good defenses like OU and Bo's Huskers. then many of his passes were off the mark and towards the end it looked like he was throwing up prayers. Im not impressed with Colt.

Re: Heisman Watch: Give It To Toby Gerhart
Suh wins the Heisman, its awarded to the best player for the whole season. Not 12 games like Gerhart..or 5 Games ala Colt Mcoy....

Geez, I just thought of something. Who was the last white running back to win the Heisman?

Re: Heisman Watch: Give It To Toby Gerhart
I thought Ingram won the Heisman while watching the SEC Champ Game. Then I watched Suh put up one of the most dominant defensive games I've ever seen. 11 tackles (for a DT), 6 tackles for a loss, and 4.5 sacks. In one game. Sheesh.
Woodson got it in '97 for a Michigan team that won a National Championship, plus he contributed in the return game. Suh should win every stinking defensive award across the board, but not the Heisman. I think the voting will look like: Ingram (after Tebow won it as Soph, can't use that against a guy anymore) McCoy Tebow Suh Gerhart
Yeah, I'm quoting myself. Looks like Suh won basically everything he could. He won the Outland, Nagurski, Bednarik, and Lombardi awards tonight. Those are the top 4 awards any D-lineman can get outside of the Heisman. Defensive Player of the Year (x2), best lineman, and best interior lineman. |
Re: Heisman Watch: Give It To Toby Gerhart
halftime of army-navy they're talking to heisman candidates
gerhart was asked if he was familiar with the comparisons to john riggins and if he even knew much about the guy.. he was like yeah, john riggins, washington redskins superbowl 17 thought that was pretty cool, even if he did just do his research well |

Re: Heisman Watch: Give It To Toby Gerhart
I want Toby, he will never quit, he is the other Riggo. I must say this candidates are pretty awesome players and seem to be class acts. If Toby doesn't get it, Suh is my backup/
