I put no stock in anything the Raiders have to say or do.....that franchise is the most disfunctional joke in the NFL. They weren't satisfied with Randy Moss's poor play and pouting either. |
Re: Hall agrees to one year deal with skins
i met d hall one time at a bar in norfolk on granby street. he was with the falcons at the time (i think 2005).
actually was a nice guy - not a prick or anything. |

Should they have been? |
Hall didn't seem be too interested in playing football while at Oakland. The article I read on his performance indicated he wasn't covering guys too well.
well who is interested at playing in oakland? lol =] |
Re: Hall agrees to one year deal with skins
I can't specifically explain why but I like this move the best of James, J. Taylor, and Alexander. I've never been 100% sold on James, Taylor is in his last couple of years and we did have to give up some for him, Alexander is just a body who was very low risk but I doubt has any sort of future here.
Hall, on the other hand, is young, talented, and could be potentially be a starting defender with Rogers for years to come. He's been surrounded by chaos the past year or so, I think with some stability around him he can shine. |
Re: Hall agrees to one year deal with skins
what i like about this move is that he is a corner who can actually catch, one of the league leaders in interceptions since he was drafted. very low risk move
|
Re: Hall agrees to one year deal with skins
he's looking to play well the rest of this season and hit a big pay-off in free agency..
I think when we make the playoffs... we might be able to sway him away from looking for big money, our team, and team continuity as far as players go .... will be something in the back of his mind ... and this is all IF he plays well and doesnt act like a basket-case. |
Re: Hall agrees to one year deal with skins
I like the signing, especially after I found out that we got him for $492,000. There's virtually no risk and there's potential for a big reward in this move.

I can think of at least 70 million reasons he had to play great on the field, be nice off the field and not be a cry baby little bitch, if that was the true case in Oakland. One thing that is for sure his play on the field was bad. With that being said. Thats water under the bridge. That was then this is now, he has a new chance to prove himself. He is a two time pro-bowler and there are a lot of really good players in this league that never get that honor. Maybe, he can return to form, who knows? We will find out in the next seven games how he responds. Bottom line, the Skins got this guy cheap. Not any gamble on this guy at this cost. Could just turn out to be very helpful down the stretch, we'll see. |
Re: Hall agrees to one year deal with skins
decent guy for cheap. like said many times no one wants to play for oakland. well see how he does. hope for the best everyone. i do know being a couple years ahead of him in deep creek i know he was a butt and he cost us the state championship. hopefully he has or will change.

Re: Hall agrees to one year deal with skins
another good point is that he CHOSE to come and play here.
no doubt other teams were offering more money than us. |

If he could play up to his potential and we resigned him, we would have a great secondary for years to come. Rogers has matured this year and stepped his game up. If Hall would do that, that would be great. I hope you're right. |
Re: Hall agrees to one year deal with skins
HALL EYEBALLS LONG-TERM STAY WITH THE REDSKINS
Posted by Mike Florio on November 7, 2008, 3:19 p.m. One major factor that drove the decision of cornerback DeAngelo Hall to sign with the Redskins is the possibility of doing a long-term deal in D.C. “It’s a one-year deal for now, but we’ll work something out long-term,” Hall told Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com. “That’s why I chose them. I don’t want to hit the market in the offseason and have to move my family again this year. Per a league source, the Redskins want Hall to prove that he can be an asset in the locker room, and that he can return to past form on the field. If/when that happens, they’ll lock him up for the long haul. In the end, Hall picked the Redskins from a pool that included three other teams — the Patriots, Ravens, and Jets. The packages, we’re told, were roughly equivalent. Presumably, Hall will be the long-term replacement for Shawn Springs, who might or might not have been seen cramming a couple of duffel bags into the trunk of his car on Friday. |
