You forgot brunell's overthrows which there were 2 or 3
This is actually a good thing IMO. Between this and his scrambling effort, I feel good about his health thus far. Overthrows in preseason don't scare me, it's the wobbly lame ducks that strike fear into your heart...
If anyone is actually upset about this game...
It IS preseason. Super Bowl year we went 0-4 and Gibbs was furious the entire training camp. Mark my words, this is all going according to PLAN. Minnesota better look out.
Keep that positive attitude 66 that's what we need. When we're winning we're grinning, when we're loosing we're crying. Just a couple weeks ago we were talking SB and even JG suggested everyone bring it down, now after two less than spectacular performances we're all stressed out.....Chill....It's going to be alright.

A neutral: 23 play drive netting 3.3 yards/play. This is < 10 yds/3 downs. This kind of yardage should kill a drive. Only kept going because they went for it on 4th down (which I don't think would happen in the regular season) and a defensive penalty (if I remember correctly.)

NEGATIVE: I guess they didn't have their 1st-string officiating crew in there. While their decisions were fine, their announcements sounded like they were recruited from the World Cup.
Never have seen any which seemed more clueless.

I actually think for a weeks worth of work (and granted against no namers) mike rumph looked pretty good. He was hitting hard and all over the place. He may end up being a very valuble nickel corner. He's gotta be as good as Walt Harris, and the guy can hit...

It's hard to judge a team by the preseason, but it seems like Campbell does not get rattled at all. I mean he looks like he's just moseying around dumping balls off completely unaffected by the looming linemen and backers closing in around him... which is a welcome sight.

I think he just needs to learn to make better decisions with his balls (I think we could all make better decisions with our balls) and he'll be a contender.

Campbell's arm look amazing. I hope he starts for us for his entire career once he gets the chance.

Who knew Sellars could run so well? I tried him out on Madden after the game (against the Colts and Bucs) and he can run on there too! :)

Randel El looks great AND excited to be a Redskin. He'll be great for us. Does anyone know if he'll be the kick returner? Espy's been returning when I saw and he may not make the team...

Sellers is a textbook physics example! Force = mass x acceleration! At 260 pounds, when he gets up to speed, he's gonna bowl people over! The trick is to get a big head of steam going before he hits anybody...

Randle El will be the punt returner and Betts likely the KR, though while Ladell is starting in place of Clinton (and maybe indefinitely, if they're afraid of Clinton's shoulder flaring up), someone else (Nemo?) will be handling KOR's. They like dudes who can break tackles on kickoff returns, but favor the shiftiness and speed of a guy like Randle El on punt returns.

He's a little slow for my taste in Madden, and he seems to drop a lot of passes. Hopefully in '07 his hands will be improved.

Collins did not throw any balls to the D line.

Re: Any Positives From Tonight's Game?

There were definitely some positives from the game that encouraged me.

First of all, B Lloyd was given the night off so the staff could take a better look at ARE, right? Well, Randle EL had two nice catches pretty easily, so that shows me that Saunders is going to be able to achieve what he sets out to do even if he's running vanilla schemes. That looks really positive.

Archuletta brought some pressure and had that nice sack. With either Arch or Sean Taylor bringing the heat from the safety position, I'd say QBs are going to be extra wary.

Jason Campbell rebounded really well from his pick and led a nice drive. He could have engineered a few more drives had Patten and Espy made some catches. For the most part, Jason looked pretty accurate and made good decisions. A lot of balls were dropped that should have been caught, and Patten short armed a few, so I'd say Campbell is progressing pretty well.

And lastly, Mike Rumph wasn't the man or anything, but he certainly wasn't what Niners fans made him out to be, so maybe, the change of scenery and better coaching will do him well. I don't really remember him from his days at the U, but if he was a first round talent, hopefully, GW will bring that out of him.
Lets hope that they turn it up a notch when the season really begins on September 11 ! The good news is that if Brunell plays well and Campbell improves through practice < maybe some game time > this season , we should be strong at all but backup O - Line and D Line . Vinny , if you read this ,,, draft a pass rusher next year ,,,,, PLEASE :)
I've decided I just flat out hate pre-season! It makes everyone question the team, the coaches, if we are really good or not. We can't see our 1st string play for real, and when they do play they only play for 5mins and you can tell they don't care at all about winning. When I watch the Skins I’m involved, I’m watching intently, I can’t wait to cheer and yell and watch them make a great play. It just doesn’t happen in pre-season. It's upsetting, it crushes morale! I HATE PRE-SEASON. I'm not turning on another game until 9/11.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan myself honestly. It's good for a fix, but after the first screw-up and third stringer action, I'm ready for real games to start.

I'm still worried about Archuleta in general, but the man has some closing speed when blitzing. I was excited to see that.
This is the easy answer. I didn't hear Gibbs say that. The team looked like dogs8it and they have two weeks to fix it. If they don't play better than that, they will lose to Minnesota. If they lose to Minnesota, they are in big trouble.
good god almighty man, what you thinking when we were 5-6 last year? I mean, I would have to belive you stopped being a skins fan all together.

0-1 and we are "in big trouble" sheez
