I'm kinda excited to see the new movie "Precious" comes out Nov 6.

I heard most of the main characters in this movie weren't allowed to wear makeup. (Obvious with Mo'Nique and Mariah Carey).

Might be a little too real for some people. But I guess that's whats appealing about it for me.

I got my midnight ticket for Friday (I can't believe LA's only got three shows the entire weekend for this!).
Wow. What a kick ass trailer. I've got to see that.

^ I bet it will be available to all soon sometimes Hollywood does this with a low budget film to get it going, AKA Blair Witch.

Yeah I just wasted half of my day at work watching The Children of The Corn SyFy remake and I don't know if I've seen worse.

I saw Zombieland and The Informant last night. Zombieland was pretty good, it was basically a "how many ways can you kill a zombie" type dealie but I enjoyed it. It was definitely a very funny movie, I thought Woody Harrelsons' kill 'em all character and that kid's nerdy "trying to stay alive by my rules" character set each other up perfectly.

Also I loved the celebrity character that made a cameo towards the end of the movie. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet but I thought it was great seeing that person make an appearance because I haven't seen that person in any really good movie in quite a while.

The Informant sucked. I didn't know what to expect, but I thought it was a waste of time. I've never been more bored during what's supposed to be a comedy. I don't know what the directors were trying to shoot for there. The premise was good and I know it was based off that whole scandal back in the 90's but for me it felt like a 2 hour business meeting with a couple mildly humorous jokes thrown in.

Paranormal Activity lives up to the hype. Be careful if you watch it... stays with you for a while.

Just caught a Halloween classic-to-be... rent "Trick 'r Treat" if you can. Really creative film for the Halloween holiday.

Has anyone caught Surrogates yet? Is it worth watching in the Theatre or should I just catch it On Demand or something.

Paranormal was well done and very scary. You're right, I didn't get any sleep that night.

Glad you liked it! Agreed- it's a slow burner that's more creepy afterwards.

Watched Adventureland on Saturday night. When I first saw the previews, I figured it was just Superbad at an Amusement Park. I was wrong, and it ended up being a decent movie. Definitely worth the Redbox rental (which is where we got it from).

I'm in the midst of my annual "The Week Of Halloween Horror Flick Fest" now. I used to watch horror movies all the time but not so much now.

Watched The Exorcist for about the 10,000th time this weekend. What a classic! Nothing like watching it at home alone, in the dark, while drinking some Saranac Pumpkin Ale. That movie still creeps me out.

Then on Saturday I went over to my sisters and watched The Haunting in Connecticut, which was not the greatest unless you like random creepy images and lots of pop-up scares. The funniest part about it to me was that I've seen specials on The Discovery Channel about the house that inspired it and they were creepier than the movie itself.
We also watched The Strangers, which was a little better than I expected. It was one of those movies that can cause your imagination to get the best of you because I guess it could really happen. It also claims to be based on a true story but I usually don't put too much stock into that.

Any, I really want to see Paranormal Activity but I don't know if I'll get the chance before this weekend.

lol man my girl dragged me to go see paranormal this weekend. it sucked, by far the worst movie ive seen in years.

the whole movie theater was laughing at the movie. it was funny as hell. at the end half the movie theater booed.

just a bunch of "did you hear that?" or the occasional door closing by itself stuff.

to each his own, but i found the movie to be a total waste of time and money. the only good part was the bottle of wine i was enjoying.

go skins!!
