The refs allowed the Rams WRs to run wide open all day?

Well hypothetically they could if they called ticky tack illegal contact penalties but that wasn't the case today.

Combination of bad refs, bad defensive schemes and no halftime adjustments and bad secondary.

The defensive line wasn't all that great either. No pressure, didn't do a great job of stopping the run.

This game was fueled by the RGIII trade and a firey coach. Advantage, STL.

It's funny how a lot of fans are quickly overreacting on emotions to Josh Morgan's mistake because basically his mistake was quickly overreacting on emotions.

Defense was just below average all day. Corners and safety's were barely noticed.

Refs are terrible. Between this and the Eagles/Ravens game today......EGH!
Blown calls all over the place.

Griff and Morris are still bright spots. I like that when things weren't working out totally, Griff took matters into his own hands a few times...
Seems like the OL had trouble as well.

There's still a lot of needs, and after coming down from the NO win last week...it's back down to Earth.

More work, son

Matter of fact....I'm gonna go do some pushups.......right now.

Funny thing though about Griffin is he didn't have his best day today and we still put up 28 points, 21 on offense. Usually on a day like today assuming we got all the same chances the score would have been 13 to 31. I base this on no deep pass to Hank and certainly no red zone conversions with the old guard.

Ha ha, to true. I think to many fans bought in to much to the good feelings and media attention from last week. Personally I spent all last week thinking to myself that it they gave us way to much respect. We did good but it was way to much for the first game of the season.

Griffin is definitely ahead of schedule but we have to remember he's still a rookie and he still has a bit of a ways to go before he takes that next step as a passer. Sad thing though is he's already a better passer then any QB we've had since Brad Johnson.
I can't get over the field goal attempt. Cundiff is awful from 50 yards plus, his career long is 62, and Shanahan basically said that he has more faith that Cundiff will hit a 62 yard FG than Griffin will complete a 16 yard pass. Wow. I mean, wow.
Honestly, I was fine with holding out RG3. You don't want him to sit there and hold the entire weight of the game on his shoulders, knowing if he missed the loss would be all on him...

He took responsibility for the loss anyway during the post-game interview. Said he didn't play well enough.

Were you like me and thought if we were going to lose this game it was going to be something like 17-14?

Our defense is supposed to be the strength and they were missing 2-3 starters! I mean WTF.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. At first though -- I was like -- what the hell, RGIII needs to be out there and be what everyone is hyping him to be... to be God.

I want to say this though. Best bad play ever came in the 2nd half when Silverback held onto Quinn for dear life to stop him from getting a clear shot on RG3. Just kind of a weird moment that makes you realize the rest of the team has bought into RG3.

Agreed. Sports are games of emotion at times. Just think how hyped up we get as spectators.
