Re: The official Skins/Seahawks game thread
anyone with an update on portis? was it a strain?

Re: The official Skins/Seahawks game thread
Love me some Portis too! Hope all is well! We NEED him!

Re: The official Skins/Seahawks game thread
It felt to me as though Springs didn't have the usual 'spring' in his step. The receivers seemed to outrun him, so I think he's not 100%, and thus not playing cornerback. Hopefully he'll be back to full speed by next game so he can play corner and solidify the pass defense.
stop saying we, you're not on the team...only if you are somehow on the payroll of the Redskins can you say 'we' or 'us'
Go away. You suck. |
Re: The official Skins/Seahawks game thread
I gotta say I'm pleased with the grind it out tough running we did to finish them off. We've got to figure out a way to dominate games on the scoreboard the same way dominate them on the stat sheet, but I'll take a W on the road.
And Ladell Betts owes Shawn Springs a steak dinner for saving his ass with that nice INT after Betts fumbled. |

Re: The official Skins/Seahawks game thread
Nice to come out of Starbucks Land with a win. We have a tough stretch between now and the end of the season.
I really like our pick up of DeAngelo Hall. |
Re: The official Skins/Seahawks game thread
Not to question your spirit here, but I am sure we we be at least 10 pt underdogs. Seattle ran all over us...especially targeting our small ends.
I am sure the Gmen will do this too. And remember....we need to score to win. Revenge would be sweet...but looking at the teams we barely beat and the ones that stomped on us...it is just not a good pattern to look forward to. I am just trying to be objective here. It is easily the least likely game to win the rest of the season...and it may even be more difficult that our first playoff game...assuming we make it.
We barely beat a 2-8 team (now 2-9) and while the win is great, the team needs to make some major adjustment as they face a superior opponent. Other than the game against the Bengals (and possibly the game against the Skins), the Giants have shown to be a dominant team on both sides of the ball. The Redskins need to show up for all of their remaining games, and bring their "A" game. Right now the team is barely holding on to the 6th playoff spot, and every game from now on will determine whether we hold on to that spot or lose it to Dallas, Atlanta, or Minnesota. |

Re: The official Skins/Seahawks game thread
All the great skins teams of the past have done three things very well. Run the ball, stop the run and pressure the qb. Seems like only one of the three is being done well this year.

Re: The official Skins/Seahawks game thread

We come out with field goals far too often.
All the great skins teams of the past have done three things very well. Run the ball, stop the run and pressure the qb. They were putting games away at the end when they had a large lead. |
Re: The official Skins/Seahawks game thread
Where did I hear Redskin fans were some of the most knowledgeable fans in the NFL? Must have been a dream. Some of these posts are ridiculous.
And to all the ones who said our oline sucks........Portis leads the NFL once again in rushing! He s not doing it ALL by himself! Glad to hear him praise his oline!
Agreed!! The pass protection has been off, part of the problem has been Samuels bum knee and Jansen has had issues at times. I know people will start bashing me for saying "at times". Bottom line Jansen gives us the best chance instead of Heyer. |
I don't think anyone is whining but everyone is so butthurt about the fumble, you'd think we'd lost instead of won.
I guess but we won and it did not hurt us. Are people calling for Seller's head for dropping that sure TD. |
