That guy doesn't want to play football, he just needs a paycheck, cant blame him but I'll pass. Monte is better when healthy

If he’s cleared I say give him a shot if he wants it
trade him if you can.... maybe a conditional pick
Har-Dee-Har-Har! Even Cleveland isn't that stupid. The Skins will cut him in a New York minute - as they should. |

Agreed. Let him go through the off-season program and see what he's got. Can't hurt. |
Re: Sua Cravens
If a team offers a 6th round pick or higher, I'd trade him. If not, let him come to camp and see what he has. What a weird situation.

Sua Cravens
seems like that happens to us and only us
Did you just see the Colt’s fiasco with McDaniels? Or Foster’s domestic violence situation in SF? Or the Giants memorabilia lawsuit going to trial? Dallas last season with Elliot? Shit happens all over |
Re: Sua Cravens
If I'm coach I'd put it to the captains + a committee of other highly regarded veterans. Would you welcome Su'a back? And don't tell me what you think I want to hear, just give it to me straight. You players are the ones that have to be able to trust him.
Depending on what they say, I'd take that back to the front office and tell them. If the players are good with welcoming him back, then I'd welcome it. This is one of those times where I think the leadership in the locker room should decide. |
Re: Sua Cravens
It would also put a little teeth into being one of those locker room leaders. It would mean something tangible, a bigger reason for all 53 to fall in line behind Trent, Scherff, DJ, etc.

Re: Sua Cravens
Losing Fuller to trade, I keep him and keep moving forward. If not anything else he is quality depth behind the starter.

Re: Sua Cravens
Cravens cleared today by the NFL. Now the Redskins have to decide what they are going to do.

I think the title is misleading here. Of course on radio, Mason Foster who seems to be a nice guy is not going to say "Cravens?! F' him! I don't want him back he can go play for the XFL for all I care!". But IMHO the whole statement contains clear indications that he thinks bringing Cravens back would be possible but veeeery complicated: “For you to work the whole year with us in OTAs, you got a starting spot and all of a sudden you just walk away from it, it’s tough,” Foster said on The Team 980, via the Washington Post. “Without explaining it to guys on the team, I think some guys are going to feel a certain way, but me, I’m all for him to come back. He’s a great player. He’s made plays here, but I think it’s going to be a work in progress. You’re going to have to come back and show people what you’re made of and show people that your heart is really in it, or I don’t think anybody’s really going to welcome you back in with open arms like that.” I'd love to hear the audio of that, to have a better feel of what he thinks and where he's just saying the right things. |

http://cdn.stationcaster.com/stations/wtem/media/mpeg/02_13_18_Mason_Foster_-1518534702.mp3 Confirms how I feel about it, Mason is a nice guy, he wasn't going to roast Su'a, but the first words out of his mouth when asked about Cravens were "It's tough"... |

Re: Sua Cravens
Smokescreen so they can now tag Cousins
Lol.
Yeah, I've been thinking that they could be throwing up smoke screens with this and the tag situation for sure. Think about all this reporting about Denver and Washington trade talks. Maybe they've got this whole deal worked out to save each other cap space and whatnot be swapping talib and cravens as part of the cousins deal. It's all falling into place. Re: Sua Cravens
Come on, it's a 4 team trade, We get Landry, Denver gets Cousins, Miami gets Bryant, and Pittsburgh gets Cravens.
Every receiving team gets a conditional 2019 2nd from the player's destination team, with any team that wins a playoff game ups it to a 1st, and if they go under 8-8 it drops to a 3rd. It's not complicated, it's creative. |
Re: Sua Cravens
I am sorry if someone already mentioned this, I do not have the time to read 10 pages of this thread.
But I remember when John Riggins had a reputation of bad attitude, quit the Redskins and sat out an entire year. Then asked to come back and many were not happy about him coming back. We won a Superbowl after that. I think Sua had very personal issues to deal with regardless of what opinions think or say. Give him another chance. He did not kill puppies or beat his wife or kill someone. |

This team aint that team and even if it was Sua aint putting them over the top. That being said - yeah id like to see the kid back. I still believe he can be a difference maker on our D.
