It's a sad day when a Giants fan is the voice of reason. This is non-issue, why keep the drama going?
The heat on Cooley is ridiculous. I am sure most of us thought the same thing when we heard the news of Scot being muzzled. If you want the drama to go away, stop blowing things out proportion.
I don't think any Redskins drama is created out of this forum lol. In general I don't have any bad feelings about the organizations direction as a whole. We have back to back winning seasons, and go into this year with extra picks and a great cap situation. I like where we're heading. My comments were more towards Cooley individually and not towards the franchise. They don't sign his checks. |

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
The redskins LOVE drama, now it's the Kirk drama... Shit gets old. I hate DAN SNYDER with a passion.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
All this seems like a bunch of stupid ass drama. Cooley should just STFU. Are you trying to be TMZ or something? What does this have to do with the draft or football related stuff?

What's amazing to me is Cooley is employed by the team and saying this shit essentially about a coworker. Seems like a piece of shit. |

What is more amazing is we are still talking about it over a week later. Again, more drama. |

Yeah it was really a blow below the belt to me. Cooley comes off as a gossipie bitch. Someone needs to pull his ass aside and tell him to keep it to football or else. |

Why not, it does make sense. Not too sure why this would have even come out. Cooley needs to cool it!!!! |

Yeah, it just seemed like a low-blow by Cooley. I can see it coming from some other media source outside of Redskins park, but this was plain out dumb. Having said that, I don't doubt that there is still some issues that SM might have with alcohol, and it sounds like he never totally abstained from it. In my opinion, if one has had substance abuse issues, the best way to control those issues is abstinence. I just hope this blows over and doesn't become a distraction. |

Cooley |
Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Pierre Garcons posts #yallhiring post on instagram... then"sources" say he's hinting at playing elsewhere next year... really would like Pierre to stay but, looks like more offseason drama, or fodder. Who knows.

We're fucked. This franchise and this god damn owner is something else. We will NEVER be anything as long as Dan Snyder resides as our owner. |

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Scott McC would probably never be here if he hadn't had a drinking problem, probably still be in SF.
IMO you better keep Allen, McC and Gruden because honestly that is the best its going get for this franchise. This place is a shit hole and no one is trying to get here or really wants to be here. |

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
IF (this is a big if until this off season finishes) the Skins can't change the culture from what was pervasive here under Snyder/VC even with JG and SM hirings then I will finally give up defending Snyder. I thought he was making progress, granted it was at a glacier pace. But he finally has a decent HC, a good GM, and what should be a Franchise QB. IF he or BA are meddling in the football side as it sounds like, then I will finally call mImdub and get his truck...
ugh. |

ugh.
I think it's a foregone conclusion that Snyder is still giving his unqualified input, and unfortunately, since he's the owner, it carries weight. Donovan McNabb, Robert Griffin III, and trading Kirk Cousins (which sounds likely), I don't see how we can say none of that has his fingerprints all over it. He just can't help himself. |

I have a feeling Bruce Allen is going to fuck this up.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Unfortunately there is more to this than SM's grandmother passing away. Russel reported she past on 2/6 and the service was held the following day. That was a full three weeks ago. I hope Scotty gets his issues worked out, that's from a personal perspective not from a team perspective.
I actually trust Allen to do what's right, go back and look at the 2014 draft (this was Allens one year as the man in charge of the draft!). That was one of the best drafts this team has had in years. I think we will be ok. |

If that is true, can he still be "functional" in regards that he isn't coming in to work drunk out of his mind? From what i understand Scot was a very good functional alcoholic by his own admission. I would think that as long as he has it under control, he presents no problem to us. If he wants to drink heavily of an evening away from work, that is his business. The minute it crosses over into his work life, where he is showing up to work hungover, or showing up drunk, etc.., then we have a problem. |

*Sigh* Mike jones kinda pulled a Twitter "deetz nuts" last night...now more drama |
Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
first, why is the sky always falling around here? without knowing, the combine is a place to be around the players. probably not a place where decisions on players are made. and secondly, why cant mcglohan being taking care of family matters? these guys world is not the same as mine or yours. just because he is doing things differently then maybe you or i doesnt mean anything. and either way if im the skins i fire cooley ( if they can) if its true it should have never been mentioned. and if its not true why say it?
