I would be surprised if we take a major dip into free agency. We have to resign Cousins, Galette and Knighton. I would be surprised if they let Jackson or Goldson go.

Not as much cap space as Tandler thinks. We have space but we'll use an awful lot by resigning our own.

How big a contract you think Knighton will get?

I'm not convinced he will be back unless he offers a discount. How much I'm not sure, but this year didn't warrant a big contract.

He has played better the last 3 or 4 games but in the middle of the year wasn't making an impact.

I was thinking that same exact thing, I would expect a couple mid level FA signings in the off-season maybe take a flyer on Eric Berry just because he may come cheap, but draft, draft, draft is the plan.

He could be as signed for a 3 year deal for about $5 million a year....I think he would agree to something like that if it's offered.

Pot Roast needs to come back on a 3 year deal which essentially be a 2 year deal most likely.

Finding solid DT/NT are about as hard as finding a QB. So if your gonna pay Cousins, pay Pot Roast as well. Pot Roast has been solid for us, especially the second half

McC doesn't give big contracts to old guys, he's said that himself, he wants his FAs in the mid 20s and to get them under contract before they peak, not to pay for peak performance after the fact.

the last big money old guy was hatcher, and while he hasn't been awful, i don't feel like he's earned the money due to injury time off etc. and they used that "but he didn't play much, so he's a fresh kind of 30 argument with him. guess what? his knees don't care.

How about Dashon Goldson, Pierre Thomas, Will Blackmon, Brian De La Puente, Alex Smith? All in their early 30's or at 30.

I have to say I'm almost (if not more so) with Scot's ability to vet established players to fit in what we're trying to do. I mean people off the freaking streets have played solid to outstanding for us.

SM said it best, he brought those guys in because they were [I][B]"football players"[/B][/I] for this season, not as long term solutions. And none were high priced guys.

Expect Callahan/SM to get a Center early in next year's draft, and expect him to start and play with gusto.

big money where? and goldson wasn't a FA, that was a trade w/ a pick and his base salary is 1.6mill this year. next year he'll either be gone or take a BIG pay cut from what the bucs signed him to, cause no ones paying him $8mill in 2016.

small money value deals are part of what McC is all about, and that's what these were, they filled needs competently and cost us almost nothing.

I think Goldson and Pot Roast should be back. They are certainly been value in their contracts. These guys have worked on the field and in the locker room. Expect both to be back

goldson won't be back without a new deal. $8m is too much for a safety that's not a superstar. if the value is good, they'll be back (they have played well vs their contracts this year), if they want too much money, they won't be.

andre roberts is the only guy who really (Really) crapped the bed (though i guess you could throw RGIII in there too if you wanted).

the reason why Pot Roast and Goldson were targeted by McC was great locker room leadership and apparently that's been the case this year. Tarik El B Sure (skins beat reporter) said this morning...doesn't think the skins would be in playoffs with out those guys.

SM deserves it, I know the Jets have had some dysfunction but nothing compared to our track record. The fact that we're stable while the rest of the division is in turmoil says it all.

Damn right he deserves it, he brought this team from the bottom to the playoffs in one year and a single draft. This is the 3rd team (if not 4th, GB) that he has turned around. He's the reason I picked the Redskins to be in the playoffs this year, I saw his work here in SF. Our OL went from garbage to a solid line, next year it will be as good as Dallas or even better.

Coughlin came out looking pretty bad this year...Giants persistent ability to choke and not close out games seem to become a mental thing and Coughlin kinda perpetuated this non confidence. I don't think that staff works well together...

I thought the Minnesota game was the coup de grace. Lets be honest, the Giants looked the worst they ever had under Coughlin that past game. I know folks want to simply say "well their best player was out". No, that wasn't it, not close really
