I don't think we win this game.

I do put some stock in SOME aspects of the preseason. In the last two games we didn't run the ball real well, but I'm not worried about that. CP will take it to them. But we have no ability to throw the ball right now. I think we'll pass protect better than we did against the Panthers, but I don't think it matters. With Thomas and Kelly being worthless, there's nothing to stop the Giants from rolling coverage to Santana Moss. And of course without Thomas and Kelly, the Giants can key on Cooley and Fred Davis in the red zone.

Campbell clearly doesn't have the timing down yet, either.

Our defense will keep us competitive. And I expect Zorn to get conservative and run the living sh** out of Portis, because not much will work through the air.

In the end we keep it pretty close as our defense hangs in there. Portis gets 30+ carries, and goes over 100 yards, but Campbell is ineffective and throws an ill-timed interception. Then Eli beats us with one or two big plays downfield.

If Portis gets his....100+ yards there is no way we lose this game. The defense really hasnt shown much throughout the preseason...so with better play on that side of the ball i think you see us win this one.

I'm hoping zorn is some kind of genius giving opposing teams nothing, but abysmal pass protection and out of sync offense is something that you wouldn't fake. Its not even that the game plan was vanilla, it was lack of execution by the starters. I don't think our guys forgot how to play football, but something is wrong and I don't think its going to be fixed until a couple of weeks in when J Taylor and Landry are 100% and JC finds a rythm with his recievers.

I think it will take several weeks (3-5) to work out some of the major kinks in our offense. However, the Giants have lost several contributors along the Dline and in the LB corps. I think JC throws for 195 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and 1 fumble. Portis rushes for 90 yards on 25 carries. The unit puts up 16 points.

I don't have as much faith in our defense as most Redskins fans do. I don't quite trust Blache yet. I think the unit allows Manning to throw for 235 yards and the Giants RB corps to run for 150 yards. The defense allows 24 points.

Final score: G-men 24, Redskins 16

Okay, I read through pages 4,5 and 6. One guy sort of talked trash and another agreed with him. Everyone else seemed to have reasonable aspirations/predictions. Maybe the first 3 pages had a different tone...

I wouldn't just say they're all traitors. Several have provided solid reasoning why they think the Redskins won't win this game (though I'm sure they all hope to be wrong).

I like to look at the facts. And the fact is the Redskins have never lost a Thursday night season opener on September 4 against a New York team. :)

I would be stupid to pick anything other then our beloved Skins even though honesty is the best medicine. LOL. 30-28 Skins.

I figured 3 touch downs was not to much to ask and 3 field goals for when we stall probably after half time when the Giants figure out what we are doing and start scoring and stalling our drives.

Honestly. I think we are going to win. I think the Giants will be really cocky and they wont be as focused because of the glare of their Superbowl trophy. They dont know what to expect from us..But they think they are going to stump us into the ground..and I think this overconfidence will work against them..If they dont get it going early on and "if" we have some successful drives. Another thing is we always play good when we are counted out..(except against NE)..I have us winning by atleast 10. Saying that..

Preseason means nothing. But it showed us what we needed to correct before the reg season. We will be ready...!!!

It'll be a FG-fest. I'll be very interested to see how the passing game fares against the Giant secondary, which isn't very good. If the OL protects JC, the score should be much higher for us.

Defensively we should be fine, the Giants O shouldn't scare anyone.

For the record I think Zorn will be a very good coach, but I think we're going to have some real struggles this year, especially early on.

I will say this... if I had to name one team that had the overall personalities that would be prone to suffer from a SB hangover, it would probably have to be the giants... since coughlin came to coach, they've been inconsistent...(not that we've been any better) mixing amazing performances with abysmal half-assed streaks

if we see the "uninspired" giants they won't stand a chance...
