Eventually something has to give, but if we win game 4 I really think it will give us confidence to split one in Cleveland.
I wish I would have watched this game to see how you guys turned around a 30 point loss into a 36 point win. That's a huge turnaround, and I don't recall that ever happening.
See, I told you guys the Wiz are a poor road team...look what happened at home. Although if you keep trading wins at home, eventually you will lose.
you didnt tell anyone anything, that is nothing new. we know that we are a crap road team, have been for years

See Jsarno, now you understand why we were so upset (or at least I was) when that game in Philly had to be replayed for the last .2 of a second and it gave the Cavs the win. Speaking of that game too, someone said something about Lebron traveling on that play and the replays show he actually did but they didn't call him for that. This is just another reason why I hate the Cavs.

yep, he definitely traveled on the game-winner. only way he could have moved that way, and replays it is plain to see that he traveled. i was furious. funny how he gets all the calls already and he hasn't won anything yet. hes not kobe, hes not jordan, not until he has a ring on his finger

Iverson travels a lot too, and he never won anything.

Anyway, c'mon we won a huge game 3. Let's enjoy it instead of continuing to complain about the refs. Please

The refs suck.

Whoops did I say that? Actually I don't have much of a problem with the refs as long as they continue to call a good game. I'm still enjoying this nice game 3 win.

But I am going to complain about the time in between games, I mean seriously there was like 3 days in between games 2 and 3 and now there's like 3 days between games 3 and 4. Why can't they just play every other day? By the time the second round starts it's gonna be mid-may lol.

I guess you're right but if the Caps and the Wizards were playing at the same time I think it'd be better, but cable networks probably wouldn't because it would mean lower ratings.

Explain? Lower ratings, huh? I would dig a ditch right now for the Caps to still be playing.

Re: Official Wizards vs Cavaliers Playoff Thread

Well I'd rather be able to watch both games at the same time, which happened at least once this NBA/NHL postseason, and I enjoyed it, but I think the stations (I meant that instead of the cable networks lol, my bad) wouldn't like it because you'd have half of the market watching one and half of the market watching the other. Ratings would probably be lower because people in the area would have to choose one over the other, and it'd probably result in a lot of switching. I may be wrong because I don't know how exactly ratings are determined, which I'm sure you do because you work in t.v., but that's what I think what would happen. Having the games on seperate days would mean everyone would be able to stick to one game.

And I understand that they would be forced to have the games on seperate days if both teams had to play a home game at Verizon Center, but I don't think that would happen every time they played.

As would I, but if they were both playing on the same night people would be forced to pick one over the other. I'm not saying people wouldn't watch the games if they were playing, I'm saying people would have to pick one or the other, or decide to alternate between both constantly. Some people would stick with the Wizards and other people would watch the Caps.

Yeah I wasn't talking about the ratings so much as the fact that if the Capitals had advanced they'd likely have played a game on Saturday night.

As for the ratings, it would have not been too affected (effected?) by sharing the time. It'd be more affected (effected?) by the night it'd be on, Saturday far worse than Sunday. But there are also contractual obligations/limitations. It's a complicated little process, this scheduling thing.

Well I understand your point. But I'm no so sure the fan base is quite the same for both sports. I'm into Cap hockey but could care less about watching Wizard basketball (But thats just me). Although I do hope they win, due to thats my home team. But for those who do have common interest in both and go to the games as I do. They won't be playing in DC at the same time so you wouldn't have to miss a home game. Even though now this is a moot point being the Caps are out.

And if your a house mouse and stay home to watch all your sporting events on the boob tube......then you have the good old pic in pic option on that state of the art Big Screen HD plasma TV. Isn't this old modern technology great.

Yeah this is pretty much a moot point seeing as how the Caps are out but I can understand them scheduling the Wiz game for Sunday. Although if the Caps had moved on they might've made them play on Friday instead of Thursday, even though there's a small chance of that happening I do remember when the playoffs started we were the only team to open the series on Friday instead of Wednesday or Thursday. Either way w/e because it's no big deal now.

Re: Official Wizards vs Cavaliers Playoff Thread

Well you can look at it two different ways. The first is that they wouldn't have had home ice because they wouldn't be playing, or they wouldn't have had home ice because if we had moved on we would be playing the Penguins, and seeing as how they had a higher seed than us they would've had home ice. I think it's the latter.

Halftime of the Wiz game. The Cavs are up by ten. Things were going pretty close and smooth but the Wizards unraveled in the second, missing shots and not holding them on defense. They are gonna have to turn things around if they want to win this game.

Cavs scored 30 points in the 2nd quarter. Wizards had built a nice lead, as you say, but then totally fell apart. This is a must win game

Wiz's Haywood says LeBron should stop complaining about rough play

Overrated hasn't worked. Now one of the Washington Wizards is calling LeBron James another name: Crybaby.

Following Cleveland's 100-97 win in Game 4 on Sunday, James, who has absorbed two flagrant fouls in this rough-and-tumble playoff series and has been banged around by the Wizards, was asked about Washington's tough-guy tactics.

"I guess that's what they want to do," he said, "hurt LeBron James in this series. It's not working."

On Monday, Wizards center Brendan Haywood, countered.

"Awww," Haywood said, in a whiny, high-pitched voice to mock James. "They are trying to hurt me. He wears 23, he wants to be Michael Jordan, I can respect that, he's a great player. You saw what Mike went through. Mike got fouled way worse than this. No one is trying to hurt him, everybody is trying to play basketball, trying to play tough. Play basketball and leave it alone."

Or....OOOORRR, the best thing to do is realize that he is down 3-1 so shut his mouth. It never stops man. Sorry, those outside of DC (and non bias fans) see Lebron as being truthful. You can see it as you wish. So it's not a FACT, it's your opinion.

Especially when you OPENLY come out and say "we're going to hit Lebron"...come on man...what do you expect?

Once the Wizards decided to start talking they absolute should not stop. The minute they do that, is the minute they admit the Cavaliers have gotten the best of them. And until the Cavaliers win their 4th game to advance the Wizards can not give the impression that they have been defeated.

Whether they should have said anything in the first place is a whole other matter.

Game 5 tonight. I really hope that they just stop talking and leave it all on the court. This series has pissed me off more so than the past two against them. It's getting so much media buildup and I'm sure the Cavs and their fans hate us as much as I hate them. All that nonsense with the rappers and the rivalry needs to be put aside. I really, really wish that not a single member of this team won't say a single word, all they really need to say is that they are putting it all out on the court tonight. I really hope that the team feels the same way I do, they are putting up the talk but they aren't backing it up, it's time to stop the talking and let their play do the talking.

Gilbert Arenas says he won't play again this season because of problems with his surgically repaired knee.

The three-time All-Star missed the past two days of practice then decided along with the team trainer that he would not play again this season.
