Honestly we had so many dope combos with the old unis, I loved the burgundy jersey/gold pants look, loved the retros, loved the 1930's retro.

At least this is a step in the right direction - I think this year is just a test run and in a year or two they will be the permanent ones.

Main uni changes take at least a year to roll through the League approval process (which has more to do with merch and broadcasting timelines than “do we like it”). Alts can be approved more quickly. So Harris is moving on this as fast as he can.

Maybe when these alts are in place, we can then have a spear helmet alt.

I was thinking feathers on the W like Quinns tee shirt or some of the bootleg merch out there when this announcement was first made, but nothing symbolic of Native Americans is ever coming back. That ship sailed with the name. Feathers and spears have nothing to do with Commanders.

What timeframe for a Commander are we looking at where they were throwing spears? I don't think Commanders is a Native America title, so where are they pulling this from? Spear and Commanders don't match. Gotta throw a ship on that helmet or something. Fuck it, no logo at all. Remove the W and just let the helmet have burgundy on the sides.

I'm a FSU fan, trust me, if anyone loves spears here, it's me.

But it just doesn't match-up with our current name as a permanent logo.

Spears are cool for the alternate uniforms as homage to the past. But doesn't make much sense to me as a permanent logo.

I 100 percent agree about the spear, but why can’t the W become like the Chicago C or Green Bay G ?
See also the Denver D, KC, SF, LA rams, NY Giants. Very common to have the city’s initial on the helmet. We can even use “fight for ole DC” as a logo.

Nature is healing… this injustice of the removal of the old logo should be undone.
