every player on the eagles dline was running him down from behind, he was SLOW last night. He was faster and throwing better during the Bears game.
He has gotten progressively worse each game he played since the injury.
Then watch his arms. His left arm is kept right at his side most of the time, even during his throwing motions at times (not every time). That is why he is so inaccurate! If it were up to me we would roll with MM until after the bye. I think we would be fine and would win both games and JD would be in far better shape to take us to the playoffs and hopefully far into.
I don't understand anyone who has watched Daniels throughout the season come out and say, "It's the defense he played against," "He played like a rookie," etc. His play during a decent portion of the Steelers game and last night (versus the Eagles) tells me my eyes aren't lying, and Daniels is injured.

He's not elusive, no jerky jerky (on the run), questionable accuracy, and indecisive (the injury has him second guessing and playing slower than usual). The defense has been playing better since the beginning of the season, so I have a bit of faith in Mariota for a week or two. It'll also likely allow Kingsbury to open up his playbook as well.

We've come too far for this staff to muck this season away. They have time to right the ship and (hopefully) make the correct decisions.
I am actually feeling optimistic. I believe we are top 10-15 offense and defense right now. After what was left for this team in terms of talent, this is quite an accomplishment.
I totally agree.

And can Chin get that extension already? What’s the hold up?

I think the faster than anticipated success for this team - whether it be because they are much better than last year, because they have played sub-par teams, or a combination of the two - may have raised my expectations to a level higher than what they should be. I think that's a good thing though. I'd rather have high expectations for this team that sometimes aren't met, than no expectations at all.

I expected them to win one of these last two games, and thought they had a decent chance to win both. It turns out they didn't win either, but I still think they had a pretty good chance to win both of them. They just have to learn how to be closers...

They could still win out, but they could also go 3-3. The toughest game will be the Eagles rematch, but none of them will be "easy". I imagine these last two losses will leave a bad taste in their mouths, but they have an opportunity to get a little healthier over the next 10 days. Then they have an opportunity to show us and themselves what they are made of down the stretch. Even if it's a wildcard berth, that's significant progress. If it's a division title, that's more than any of us could have hoped for this year.

they have already exceeded my expectations.. if we just beat the teams we are supposed to beat that's over 10 wins .. once playoffs starts anything can happen ..

You play around with this site and predict the season and the playoffs all the way to the superbowl. It would take a complete collapse for us not to finish at least 10-7. 3-3 finish seems doable. Beating Dallas, Tennessee and New Orleans. I think we sweep Dallas, so that's a 4-2 finish.

Honestly, I think we finish 5-1 or 6-0. IMO, the Eagles will lose two or three games before they face us again. The rematch will be for the division title.

Tough loss. Either Daniels is still hurt some or was off just off more than usual. I know Eagles have a good defense, but he just didn't seem as electric and missed more passes than usual. Disheartening. Jalen Carter is an absolute monster. Wow. This game, similarly, to Pittsburgh exposed our weaknesseses: oline, corners, and wrs. True SB contenders in today's NFL cannot have any weak units.

Looking forward to a much needed break and smoking the Girls soon.

can't believe Sainristil on AJBrown doesn't get more recognition. add Lattimore and our D moves up big time. The team needs the rest time that they get over the next 4 weeks

Mechanics dont lie, Daniels is injured. I am now on the official play Mariotta until the bye train. Otherwise we are playing with this version of Daniels the rest if the year. Daniels is a radically different player right now, do the right thing for his ling term future

Re: WTF was that post game thread

1) His ribs are still healing up. That much is obvious from the treatment on the side line every game since.
2) He had a bad cut on his hand during the game. It's unsurprising if that impacted his grip and thus his throwing after he got hurt.

Neither injury should need extensive healing with exclusion from training. If the medics didn't think he could play with either/both injuries, Mariota would have been out there. AP and DQ are not going to risk a franchise QB unnecessarily in the middle of a rebuild season, even if we're doing unexpectedly well. They're not idiots. Players get banged up, its football, and yes it does affect their play. He's getting 3 or 4 good days rest and treatment now before going back into training. I expect him to be in much better playing shape 8 days from now. If they feel he needs more healing time, now we have the opportunity, expect to see him held out of or on light training until Wednesday or Thursday. Something tells me he'll be back a practice as normal, first session. And he'll be fine.

There was a question to Quinn after getting Lattimore, how would he slide into the rotation. The person who asked said if Sainristil would slide back to nickel, but Quinn wouldn’t commit to that. He might stay outside with Lattimore and St Juste could go to the bench

I just can’t tell/know enough about his motion, but he has seemed off on throws since going out.

St Juste came out of Thursday with a good rating. That's the frustrating thing with him, he can play really well, but you never know which version you're going to get week to week.

Only team doctor's know just how bad it is, but they should definitely rest him as long as there is a good chance he makes his injury worse.
