Re: Around the League Week 4
Looking like it's gonna be Pats @ Chiefs on Tuesday Night Football.
Feels like we're teetering on the brink here, at what point does fairness come into play? |
Re: Around the League Week 4
With Haskins, he was a rookie QB on a team whose coach (Gruden) did not want him and was not interested in developing. He then started in a handful of game under and interim coach and the remnants of a hastily put together team.
And this year, despite having a better situation in terms of coaching and to a better overall structure of the team (no more Bruce Allen), Haskins has been hindered by having a brand new coaching staff, no offseason, and a lack of weapons on offense. Aside from Daniel Jones, I believe no other rookie or young QB in the league has gone through this. Because of all of this, Haskins should be given most of the season to develop. I am concerned that this terrible starting situation, may have deeply affected and could lead to the team needing a QB next year (Giants will be QB shopping as well). But still, it doesn't help the team in the long term to pull the plug on Haskins early in the season.
Great breakdown of Jason Campbell! Oh, wait...were talking about Haskins. Short and sweet, he is utter garbage. No awareness, no drive, no leadership abilities, can't admit mistakes, got by in college due to GOBS of talent around him and a strong arm. He is Jamarcus Russell light. We are doing the team a DISSERVICE by even entertaining the fact that Haskins could be a start in the NFL. |

Yeah i agree Chico. This is the beginning of the end.
https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/football-team/report-nfl-open-placing-teams-hotels-remainder-season If the NFL manages to have all 256 regular seasons games played, those in charge of handling this Covid situation deserve a Nobel Prize. I don't know which one. But they do. |

Re: Around the League Week 4
IMO in hind sight the NFL should have tried a shortened game season with additional weeks for make up games. Not sure if that would alleviate these delays but I would prefer additional by weeks over Tuesday night football.

Yes, that type of foresight would have been helpful. The league played a 14 game season for many years. That should have been enough games to determine the playoff qualifiers in these unique circumstances. |
Re: Around the League Week 4

Cowboys have given up over 230 yards rushing to Cleveland. |
Re: Around the League Week 4
If the Browns lose they need to fire the entire staff after the game.
|
Re: Around the League Week 4
This box score for Browns @ Cowboys is hilariously off.
One team wins 49-38. One qb throws for 165 yards, the other 502. Who did what? S/N both teams defense are hilariously bad. Also it reflects poorly on Haskins that he couldn't do shit against the Browns defense. |
Re: Around the League Week 4
The NFC East is an alltime trash division playing against arguably the strongest AFC and NFC divisions. It is gonna be ugly.
