From what I understand, we can cut him any time and suffer no losses before the season starts, of any year in the contract. This is the way the GreenBay Packers have most of their players contracts structured. I like it.

Bottom line is Monty wants to be here and didn't want to see what was out there in free agency. Ever.
I would be surprised if he didn't get a salary guarantee for 2012 though. The least they can do if he's going to sign his rights to the Redskins though 2015 with no SB is guarantee his 2012 roster spot. |
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Have heard Scott is 2 years/1.3 million

Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
scott is not worth the effort that went into drawing up the contract, even if there is no garaunteed money.

I saw that too. Rotoworld has weird contract details though. 700k in the first year, 1.85m in the second, 2.625m in the third, and 3.225m in the fourth. It says there is no bonus but 600k worth of possible incentives. Seems 3 mil off by my count. I wonder what the deal really is. |

Bruce Allen working magic once again. Big Bruce has us sitting pretty for free agency and really got our bullsh8t contracts out the way. Really nice to see the change. Monty's been decent for us and his contract stills allows us to make an easy change if we need to. |

Monty gonna end up starting, Wells from GB want 7 mill per, Myers not 2 far behind to rich 4 shanny blood at that spot[/quote] One of the ES insiders tweeted this not too long ago. Glad we aren't pursuing those guys with that type of price tag. |
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Great signing on Monty .. I went to high school with that dude so it's pretty cool to see and old acquaintance make it to the team he's always rooted for ... I wish however I was as good as buddies with him as my one friend .. Monty hooks him up with "player parking passes" .. he tailgates with the cooleys at every game

Isn't that the same total max contract they threw at Rabach?
