Re: DC Sports Bog: The Antwaan Randle El Mystery
I wish they would replace him so you guys could see others fail to get any real yards and realize we have poor blocking on punt returns. My luck now that I've posted this Moss will get the chance and return it to the house.
Theisman brings up a great point of accountability on this team. Inconsistent, which fits the mold of the FO as well as the coaching on this team. They bench Carlos, but Hall and Laron get beat and they get a pass. ARE is god aweful on special teams, he gets a pass all day with his bs mistakes, but we cut kicker and chose to levy the two losses on him and overlook the countless other mistakes on the field. I wonder what the locker room thinks?...ARE shouldnt return next year, he doesnt bring it enough on the field and we have other "good locker room" guys...plus that contract...
Follow the money and you can easily understand the perferred treatment. Take a look at the salry structure of the players alowed to make repeated mistakes and continue as oposed to those of lesser stature who are cut for mistakes of even lesser magnitude. |

If he had simply maintained the same level as in Pittsburgh, I'd have no complaints because he'd be making a big impact. |

As far as a WR his number are a little better here then in Pit. |

Well no one is returning it if they let the ball hit the ground and roll 20 yards or if they let balls bounce off their facemask. 3 fumbles is inexcusable. |

I wish his salary was more reflective of those numbers. |
Re: DC Sports Bog: The Antwaan Randle El Mystery
Randle El has reportedly been privately told he's been replaced by Devin Thomas...but he was told that once before and still received the majority of the punt returns. So I for one won't believe it until I see it.

Re: DC Sports Bog: The Antwaan Randle El Mystery
No doubt some of it, maybe alot of it is due to poor punt blocking. There's blame to be placed on ARE too though. In many cases, if he just runs straight he's going to get 5-10 yards. He doesn't. He steps left, steps right, runs backwards and loses 5 yards.
Just run straight forward! We'll see how others do. |
Re: DC Sports Bog: The Antwaan Randle El Mystery
quality punt returners are easily draftable, the problem is that we probably dont have the luxury to do so with some pressing needs we need to use the picks on instead.

they said devin got the job tonight on news 4, and also said the same thing happened last week but el went to zorns office and pleaded with him to let him return against oakland. that may be why he had such a bad game he was trying to hard. i hope devin does good, and i hope he tucks that ball away |
