Re: Randle El still useful?
I don't think he is all that bad. I don't understand why people say El sucks now? Obviously we overpaid him, but I think he has done a good job and he is consistent. Also pretty injury free. I don't understand how people expect more.
ARE wont beat out Kelly. I'm not sure about salary cap stuff but I get the impression that his cap number is too high to let him go which is good for him because I think he could be gone if he wasnt too expensive to cut.
He doesn't have to, Kelly is going to be the #2 and ARE will be in the #3, slot position that we always intended on putting him. They're not competing against each other (right now, at least). Kelly or Thomas are shooting for a starting #2 spot and ARE will be in the slot as the #3. |

Plus, he can be like a spark plug, always hyper and getting the team to bring up their energy level....great locker room guy and fun for the fans too. Yes, he still needs to produce on the field to stay around, but I believe he will this season. |
Re: Randle El still useful?
I never thought he was very good
Dude has never scored 5 tds in a season or come that close to any benchmark stat that warrants his salary.. I thought he was going to be good in the return game for us when we got him, but I dont recall him doing much of anything in that aspect either |
