I wasnt comparing them but if you want me to I will. I only stated what is a fact, once the Steelers got rid of KS after many years of trying to make him work they finally had success because the offense could finally score points. I get a chuckle out out of people that like to dis BR when all he has done since he came into the league is win a Super Bowl and take his team deep into the playoffs every year. For someone that cant operate from the pocket and make good pre-snap reads, he sure has been successful. FYI, a pro style QB drops back and throws the ball, he runs only when he has to. If you watch NFL games you can see that's what a pro style QB does. Thats what BR does which is why he's a pro style QB.

Which, if your prototype of the term is Roethlisberger, is worth many chuckles.

There's no doubt that Roethlisberger has had a successful five year career to date. Being a "pro-style QB" has little, if anything to do with that.

I mean, all you have to do is say what you mean. I'm just doing my best to read between the lines on your posts.

I am in no way trying to imply that Ben Roethlisberger is not a bigger/better/winninger player than Kordell Stewart. Just that, Jason Campbell to Stewart is a real, real dumb comparison for a whole bunch of reasons. You didn't explicitly say that, but that's what I thought you were getting at when I read what you wrote.

CJ Spiller announced today he [URL="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3836174&campaign=rss&source=NCFHeadlines"]has decided to return to school [/URL]despite receiving a 1st round grade from the NFL Draft advisory committee. Stupid move IMO. If you can get paid 1st round $$ at a position as injury prone as RB, you take it when you can. I'm of the opinion that if you're a shoo-in first round pick, you go pro. You can always get your degree when you're done making a fortune.

I agree about the Chris Johnson comparison. They are similar in size and running style.

I wasn't saying the Skins should draft a RB. By "take it," I meant CJ Spiller is holding the proverbial winning lottery ticket (a 1st round pick right now), and he's not cashing it.

I'd like to add a RB with homerun ability if possible, but not at the expense of building our lines, and definitely not with our 1st pick.

Sorry i must be a little slow tonight. Just so I understand you mean take the guy to trade for more picks or current players right?

Anyway, a speedster back would be sweet but IMHO we're wasting the talent we've got @ RB right now in that we don't utilize Betts or Portis to their respective strengths. Betts should be running between the tackles in the first half and mixing things up catching passes out of the backfield. Portis should be our "finisher" starting in the 3rd and stretching plays out much longer than we currently see.

(of course this all assumes we upgrade the o-line as you mentioned)

Agreed, but they are really hurting in the LB department. I'd like to see them go after Dansby in free agency. Short of that, I do like Sean Witherspoon out of Missouri as a mid-round pick if we can secure some extra picks. Getting him would mean moving Rocky to the SAM, which could actually be the best fit for him anyway. It will be interesting to see what the Redskins might attempt to do with Alfred Fincher.

The team is better when he's on the field, whether it's at safety or at cornerback. I think his fragility is overrated, but we do need to start taking into account his age.

I wish we had another strong interior defensive linemen to line up with Montgomery as the starter then make either Daniels or Griffin the backup. A solid veteran who can play a few downs a game but not someone we need to count on to carry us for the majority of the game or season
