This game left me craving some Gibbs.
4 years under his belt and what has he done? Lets call a spade a spade..He's a mediocre Qb and will not be the one whom will take us to the next level. Let me ask you. If you know that you will dump your girl in a year would you waste your time and date her or would you move to bigger and better things..the hour glass is flipped and its only a matter before Colt or Collins move in
Techinically JC only has one season under his belt. What has Moss and Randle EL done lately????? The Oline??? I hate when fans say what have JC done lately? I know JC hasn't played like Brady, but you act like his receivers have being playing like T.O. JC might be a mediocre QB, but maybe his recievers are mediocre which will produce mediocre results. Lets be real the whole offense might need a makeover at all positions not just at QB. You have a strong arm QB is is 6'4-6'5 throwing to receivers under 6 ft. That makes alot of sense. I don't understand what Synder, Gibbs, Cerrato, or whoever was thinking when they decided to get two receivers under 6. If they drafted Campbell knowing eventually he was going to be the "franchise QB" then why didn't they get bigger playmaking receivers??? Yes the drafted Kelly and Thomas this year., but it will be a year or two before they will make a difference. This issue should have been address when the drafted JC. Putting Brennan in last night still wouldn't change the fact that receivers were running the wrong routes, stop running their routes and the Oline couldn't get the running game going. I think was in the beginning of the third quarter were Campbell threw it deep and Moss stop running is route and the ball almost got intercepted. That would have been a touchdown and may have changed the outcome of the game. JC did miss a open players and didn't look at all of his "options" on the field. He does need to work on that. |
Re: I waited & months for this crap?
I personally think we are going to win the next two. Then everyone will have a boner over the Skins again and be talking SB. So funny how quickly everyone wants to jump ship.
BTW- If you are predicting a 9-7 record you have to lose seven games. |
Re: I waited & months for this crap?
Not jumping ship..just a little disgusted..

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
It was a disappointing game on so many levels. At the same time, it was consistent with our preseason performance offensively and defensively. Both sides made some adjustments in the second half which, on defense, appeared to work b/c we did keep them scoreless. Offensivily, we just couldn't get it together and the play calling in the last six minutes was abysmal.
With all that said, it was one game. Can we not call for the end of the world? According to him, Dan Snyder has learned football requires patience - any one here got any of that? |

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
Dude its not that we lost...its that at times the offense looked like it came out of high school...thats the issue.

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
The entire offseason was centered around an upgrade of the offense. The result certainly was not impressive. Less than 200 yards????? I'm not looking forward to the next game, the Saints will put up 400 yards

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
What did you guys expect??? It's the first year for Zorn as a head coach, it's a completely different system from what we ran before... we'll probably be .500 and there's nothing wrong with that. I think I'm going to enjoy this year more than those in recent history because I don't expect us to be all that great. I just want to see a competitive team, week in and week out. If we make a solid improvement from the beginning of this year to the end, I'll be very happy.

I agree! But please win one Dallas game this year and the Ravens game. It will be hell if we lose that game. |
Re: I waited & months for this crap?
improvement cures all...thats fine...but it we can never stay on the field it will be a long season for our d
2) Campbell is turning into the same dink and dunk loser he replaced in Mark Brunell. I thought we picked this kid up because of his strong arm but i didn't see a long pass thrown until the last 2 minutes of the game. He didn't have a terrible game but he did have a predictable one. One that lets the defense cheat and win the game. If he doesn't let the ball go sooner or turn it up Collins or my boy COLT will be breathing down HIS Horsecollar.
I always thought Campbell would be a great fit for the Saunders offense, and he really showed strides. My biggest disappointment is that it appears we're at ground zero in his learning curve for the WCO, which typically takes 2-3 years to master. He needs to improve his pocket presence (I put the opening sack squarely on Campbell), and he must read the D and deliver the ball much more quickly. I'm bracing for a long, bumpy ride this season.

This is why I said a while ago that everyone was WAAAAY too high on Zorn. He hasn't even been an OC, so what makes people think he will be a good HC? That being said, I am confident that Zorn is an intellegent man, and he will adjust eventually...but the beginning of the season will be rough. Everyone that thought Zorn could be a super bowl winning coach first season is kidding themselves...this game clearly shows he's out of his league...but again, he won't be for long. He has the knowledge, and he has the ability to turn this around, and I am confident he will. The NFL is tough people...give Zorn some time. (keep in mind, if we go 2-10 or something dreadful like that, I will be calling for the axe.) |
Re: I waited & months for this crap?
It's going to be a very long season

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
