Sellers is the Fullback and Cooley is the H-Back.

Under Gibbs before Al Cooley was more of a TE than ever. He used to line up at the line of scrimmage much more often.

Under Al Cooley is split out flexed more and seems to me that its just what an H-back is. Not a Fullback, Not a TE, Not a receiver.....H-BACK!!!

Sorry AL, you use an H-BACK!!
JDALY, good luck on the golfing next week.....? This might help clear it up for you....?

Re: Is Cooley Still Considered an H-Back?
I was looking at this last year when he was changed to officially a TE and it entered my mind with the Reggie Bush thing where he wanted to wear a non-RB number. Cooley being a TE now cannot wear 47 according to NFL rules. I dont care, have his jersey, but I was surprised not to see the change of numbers given the opportunity to sell more jerseys.
Dallas Clark of Indy is a tight end and he wears #44.

The NFL actually did change the numbering rules for wide receivers since teams started running out of 80-89 for the number of wideouts and tight ends they carry. Then, they decided to let WRs use #11-19.

If I had my way, all wideouts in the league would be 80-89 and tight ends would be able to choose between 20-49, along with running backs and defensive backs.

I don't know why, but wide receivers are such a recognizable part of the game, (second only to quarterbacks) I think they should all be known for one particular set of numbers.

If only I ruled the world ...

I know that the league loosend the number rule for WR and TE but I have to admit I am not sure what sets of numbers were approved other than 11-19.

So what would be the difference in cost for a franchised TE and a franchised H-Back. Would they just go by the average of the top TE's in the league or H-Backs? Kind of a loop hole if it would work, there aren't many H-Backs(on paper) in the NFL. Regardless I pray it wouldn't come to us franchising Cooley!

a H-back would be franchised under a fullback status

Even with the so called change of position last year Cooley was still officially listed as a Full Back for Pro Bowl voting I believe. Correct me if I am wrong.

I saw him as a tight end on NFL.com voting. Where was he listed as a fullback?

I am not questioning that. I said to correct me if I was wrong. So it was only his first season that they had him listed as a FB.
