Wins and losses record. Failure to Field a winning team. 1 playoff win in his tenure

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
I actually think they should’ve kept Shanahan and let him work with cousins like he originally wanted to do

I think Gruden has done a decent job with the hand he’s been dealt. I hold Bruce Responsible for the personnel moves, the draft moves, the front office moves, and the one giving Gruden the players to work with or lack there of

Redskins free agent signings 2018
I hold Bruce responsible for the failed cousins contract dating back years, and I hold Bruce responsible for letting Shanahan go and giving RG3 the benefit of the doubt. Over the past few years watching where Griffin ended up and watching where cousins ended up let us know Shanahan was right all along And Bruce was wrong all along. Bruce’s poor ass decision set this team back years, but yet he still here and Shanahan’s at home laughing his ass off
Ronald McDonald would do better as a GM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ronald McDonald would do better as a GM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/quote] I would have liked to see Shanahan as a coach only and BA as the GM. I don't think you can exclusively fault Bruce for RG3. I think Shanahan was agreeable to the RG3 trade when it happened. Only a few people really know what role Bruce played in that compared to DS and MS. I do blame him for Kirk but the end of that story has yet to be written. I'm completely comfortable NOW with AS as the QB, especially at the cap number he is at. I believe people forget when MS had full control our salary allocation pretty much neglected the defense. The spending was totally weighted toward the offense. I couldn't find a link from the Shanny era but below is the current situation. overthecap.com/salary-cap/washington-redskins/ Right now we are offense heavy but it is not crazy out of whack. Only a 20m differential. Also, I think people forget how the bogus salary cap penalty killed our depth. We still signed paid higher priced stars but lost out on quality depth guys. Admittedly, I have a knee jerk reaction to moves and inaction but i am fine with the way the roster, and in particular the draft has been handled. |

In Shanahan's 4 years, our net points were: -75, -79, 48(RG3 title year), -144 Gruden's first year: -137 Gruden's remaining years:9(KC's title year), 13, -46 (this year but I think injuries added in to that, the DL looked alot better when Allen/Ionnaidis were on the line rotation) So the discrepancy that Shanahan was creating on defense definitely showed up in the stats. That is really good talent scouting and drafting. |

The Smith trade really was one of the best ways possible to come out of our (mainly self inflicted) QB mess. It is strange though: (of course depending on how we draft and how our picks play) but if we sign Hankins I'll be pretty high on our FA, and if we don't I won't get the logic of what they're trying to do... carrying cap space onto next year when you just traded for a 33 years old top 15~12 QB doesn't make much sense IMO. Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
I agree. I thought they had been being cautious the last few years with the hope they could sign the old qb, but now that he is gone it seems like they could put a winning offer out there. Of course they also have done well by having cap space available later in free agency for Norman and DJax but you don't always get something like that.
