At #6? Drafting a RT at #6 is a reach IMO. If we trade down in the 1st then fine, but I don't like that at #6.
Anthony Davis the RT for the 49ers was drafted at 11. Riley Reiff has got more talent then him and could be an effective starter from day 1........You usually dont draft G's in the top 15 but decastro is gonna be top 10 if you have a guy who grades out as a top prospect you want to take them..........Especially if you got a guy like Trent Williams who likes to get in trouble and Reiff can switch to LT in fact I think Reiff at LT and Williams at RT would be best but thats another debate............Fixing your teams oline should be goal number 1 and the RTs available in the second round would have an obvious drop off
pretty sure he will
Although he is only one voice, Mayock said this morning that there is no way that Tannehill goes later than the Cards at #13.

I have yet to see anyone grade Riley Reiff high enough for him to be taken in the top 6. That high a pick should be a game changer. The way I see it, we have other needs at other positions we need to be game changers. quarterback cough cough.

Dontari Poe, physically an elite nose tackle, who could dramatically change the dynamics of the Redskin defense. At the combine, sub 5 40 yard dash, 346 pounds and did 44 reps at 225.

Would be nice to get but IMO we have bigger needs, we could get Paul Soliai NT, Miami (FA) just for $$$.

Who do you think the Patriots value more, Tom Brady or Vince Wilfolk?

Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........

The Redskins need to trade the 6th pick along with their 3rd and 4th rounders this year plus their 1st and 2nd next year to get the second pick from the Rams and RG3. This is a lot, but it sounds like a lot more than it really is. The Skins would still have their 2nd rounder this year, plus a 4th, 5th, 6th and (possibly) 2 7th round picks. So they will still have 7 picks this year and the 3rd round will be the only round the Skins are not drafting in. This situation does not sound like the "morgaging the future" argument many people have about trading up. Now, I know the first and second next year sounds really steep but the Redskins can make up for that loss by bringing in 2 top starters through Free Agency in the next 2 offseasons. Considering they are almost 50 million under the cap, this can be done. If the Redskins try and make this deal SOON it might be too good for the Rams to pass up and the Browns might not have the opportunity to beat it. I don't think the Browns will pay that much just to move up 2 spots. Maybe I'm looking at it through cloudy eyes because I want RG3 to become a Redskin so bad but I think if the Skins pull the trigger with this deal early, it can get done.

Its in the Rams benefit to do it soon. Not necessarily in the Redskins benefit without some sort of discount.

But it's hard for the Rams to convince the Redskins they are giving a discount when market value is not known.

I hope we trade down a bit and get an extra pick or two and get Tannehill or Weeden as our QB. I would love to get RG III, but at the price the Rams are asking and with the Skins being swiss cheese I think we need to get more picks. RG III is going to get killed behind a crappy O line.

Yep, this works for me. AND I'd like to add PM while they sit and learn for a few years.
