Says it all. The INT was a turning point, but maybe if the D had done its job, it wouldn't have been so critical. Just shy of 400 yds and 4 TDs is the kind of production you want to see (though preferably not off 52 att's). Can't help thinking it's 2 steps forward, 1 back with SH, but after 9 regular season games i can live with that as long as he maintains progress. Imagine what he'd be able to achieve with a good coaching staff and a functioning D. |
Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Great game from SH, still need to see a full season from him to know if he is someone we can tie our wagon too or do we need to still have an eye on the QB spot

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Sam was really impressive yesterday, really impressive. EB called a good game too. I'd love to see a little more run/pass balance but EB just doesn't seem to care much about running.
That loss was clearly on the defense. |

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
All this nonsense in the offseason about EB being the savior, he's out next HC, blah blah. Fuck that guy. No way I want him leading this offense another year.

Like I’ve been saying…EB no more empty sets. You should never limit the run option on 3rd/4th and short. Give the QB two plays and put him under center. |

When it comes to Sam Howell

It's all on Ron. He should have got in his ear and told him to run the ball or play action. |

#nottheproblem
he didn't have a great 4QT , arguably the most important quarter While the Commanders put up a brave fight and led 24-17 in the fourth quarter, the Eagles were simply too much. Jalen Hurts threw three second-half touchdown passes, and while Washington kept Sam Howell clean for most of the day, the second-year quarterback had a dismal fourth quarter. He missed an open Terry McLaurin on back-to-back throws to end one drive, tossed an interception to hand the Eagles a short field on another and was strip-sacked by Haason Reddick on fourth down to put the game out of reach. |

The sack by Reddick was 1000% on Wylie as well. He wasn’t perfect, but Howell had a great game. Overal, the protection was good too, there is a correlation there |
