Smith is what he is at this point and that is a solid number 2 Edge rusher. Nothing more.
This... he's too slow to be dominant. |
Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
Would rather have Hankins, but I don't mind McPhee.
And why would anyone care about losing Crowder next year? Don't let the door hit you in the ass buddy. |

I don't see the urge to keep him long term just yet either, he had a ok season last yr, can he be better or is that his ceiling? |

If Paul Richardson can open the slot area a little more, then Crowder may turn into the comeback player of the year. Although he should never ever touch another punt return! |

When you make a mistake like that you feel bad for your teammates and it can get into your head. He was not himself last season. Not having a deep threat didn't help him either. If he's the same player next year that he was last year, I'm not offering him anything. Having said all that, I hope to see some improvement back to his earlier days. |

So I don't know exactly how this works, (like if we cut him know do we owe him 3,75M or 3,75+2,5+1,25 ?) but cutting him now will only free a little less than 1M in 2018. https://overthecap.com/player/terrell-mcclain/1687/ Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk |

Correct. He lacks explosion, bend, and quickness although he is strong and long which helps. He should not have been drafted in Round 2 and I said so at the time. Anderson should not have been drafted to play OLB, either. He's another 2nd Round mistake. I notice his name rarely comes up on this site. That's because he's invisible. His college coach, Lou Saban, said he expected Anderson to play ILB in the pros because he's a good run-stopper but not as good of a pass rusher. Somebody at Redskins Park doesn't know squat about projecting 3-4 OLB prospects. |

Sylvester Williams signs with the Lions. At about the same time as Hankins visits.

I imagine the conversation went along the lines of look we aren't sure about your role this season and we may cut you Saturday, but if you change your guarantee to for injury only, then we will keep you on with an honest shot to compete for a roster spot. Let us know what you want to do. So yeah it'd free 3.4M this year but count 2.5M against our cap next year. Better than the original 7M garanted. Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk |
