and so let the weeping and gnashing of teeth begin; woe to those who wanted an OL guy.
Eh, it's the 5th round. As much as I wanted Meridith or Robinson, they must have slipped down for a reason. I hope they picked up another o-lineman in post draft free agency. They still got Orakpo and didn't mortgage the future on Sanchez. I'm happy. |
Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion
A LB who's bio says he isn't a hard hitter. Shit, what a pisser. We should have traded all of our lower round picks to get a 2nd rounder so at least we would have at least received 2 future starters. This class truly is very thin.

Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion
Sorry Ruhskins, I just piggybacked off of your post. But there are several who may come back saying how awful the this is because Meredith/Robinson are both gone
|
Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion
We still have 3 more picks. Let's see what happens.
|
Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion
I shouldn't be that pissed, at least they got a position that we needed. The bio says he is athletic, but can be overly aggressive and isn't the heaviest hitter.

Well people are always going to complain no matter what, I was merely responding to those folks. |
Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion
That Oher special gave me some buyer's remorse. I wish he were a Redskin...so much potential and character.

I am not really complaining that much, just wish Glenn would have been known as a heavy hitter coming out of the Big 12. Those guys are known for laying the licks on ya!!!!! We really need to find 2-3 starters out of this draft and the class is well really thin past round 2. |

Orakpo and Barnes, those are your starters. |

Yeah I voted for Oher on the Warpath's draft poll. Orakpo rules, but the D was the lesser of our worries. If we have a few starters on our aging o line get dinged up often poor JC is going to be like Ramsey was under Spurrier!!!!! |

I know Orakpo for sure, probably Barnes also. I will give this draft an A overall if we can land a diamond in the rough for the O line. |
Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion
Ok, two punters and a kicker went on the 5th round, go scream at those FO.
|
Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion
I hope we get Javon Ringer or Kory Sheets. I'm surprised they're both still available.
|
Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion
If Barnes is a starter at anytime this season I will be pleasantly surprised. Orakpo, on the other hand, Would be the complete oposite. Go earn your money young fella!

Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion
Anyone notice that Tom Cable (Raiders HC) has a black eye? Makes you wonder what went on in the Raiders draft room.
