Brown would be a very smart pick-up for us. See post # 344. He shouldn't break the bank. There's a fairly good market for Centers this year.
Not for a guy whose 25 and can play Center and Gaurd. He will command alot of money. |
Re: 2009 Free Agents
Do we really need Jason Brown? I mean he's probably an upgrade over Rabach but we shouldn't get into a bidding war for him. We have bigger needs. If this is true it shows our FO is just throwing money away for fun.
Well he could play Guard |

With that age and the ability to play guard, he probably will command a good paycheck. But he should be relatively worth it |

I understand this completely. I really do, but would'nt drafting Alex Mack accomplish the same thing for a lot less money? |
Re: 2009 Free Agents
I think we should go after Tank Johnson and not Haynesworth. Save some cap room. That way, we can fill other needs. Also, espn is reporting that Pats after DeAngelo Hall?

Here we go again with 53 and Mack.................Just kidding buddy. Im sold on Mack too:) |
Re: 2009 Free Agents
It seems like Jason Brown wants to come here, so I think we should just jump on the chance if it's there now and then come April maybe we can focus our attention at #13 on a position other than Guard

Heard the Dolphins are interested in Tank and vice-versa I think that I'm still very much on the fence about Haynesworth. |

Plus, there should not be a rookie learning curve like any in the draft. So he should be expected to be able to start right away. |

I think that I'm still very much on the fence about Haynesworth.
Me too. At best, he could have the biggest impact of any player out there. At worst, the worse FA acquisition we've ever made. |

I'll think we'll sign him, and I think the results will be somewhere in the middle. |

I think you're right. Though I hope it leans toward the "at best" scenario. |

Then it's not worth it IMHO... |

Its pretty hard to top Jeff George for worst acquisition ever. |
