Are you referring to O-line (Chester) or D-line (Bowen and Cofield)?
Yes. It's not that I don't like the guys they signed up front, but why are they using this overkill, "we love competition COMPETITION 4 EVAR HAHAHAHAA NO REPS 4 U" strategy with the skill guys and not the trenches.

Granted part of me hates the overkill strategy seeing as it leads to great decisions like giving Galloway playing time over Austin but damn give me at least two more guys. IIRC our tackle depth going into today was Williams, Fulton, and Oldenberg. I feel a little better now with Brown resigned but man.

I think part of it though might be the coaches viewing the receivers as some sort of space invaders shoot em up type position while the offensive line is like a delicate eco system.
Mcnabb was given a fair chance to prove himself as the skins qb last year.he messed that chance up big time.hopefully this year's qbs can throw a good short pass cause mcnabb threw it in the ground whenever he tried too.
Yeah, he was given a fair chance playing with the possibly the worst O-line & WR core in the league. Yet, everyone expected him to be Joe Montana. I love how people forget that his supporting cast was f-ckin horrible....

Jammal Brown said he wanted to come back to the #Redskins to work with two fellow Oklahoma products now: Trent Williams and Chris Chester.

I agree we should sign a few more guys on the lines, and we probably will, but when looking at Cofield, Bowen, and Chester- there's a good chance all 3 of them are week 1 starters. Bringing in 3 new starters isnt exactly neglecting trench warfare.

True... he did absolutely nothing to adjust to that situation

I like the Hightower pick up, from what I remember, he was good on the goal line...

I think it came down to his perceived work ethic... Shanahan had seen enough...

Agreed. I just wish the FO would humor me with a couple extra bodies up front on the off chance of signing a diamond in the rough. At this rate though with the skilled players I'm expecting to read a tweet like this.

@RichCampbell - Skins have now signed every available Free Agent Running Back and Receiver eligible for Free Agency.

@RichCampbell - Skins have signed Ukranian Receiver Mikel Udarich and Antartic Running back Samoe Taleio.

@RichCampbell - Skins visit local high schools claiming to be looking for Receivers and Running Backs.

@RichCampbell - Skins go to Pee Wee championship in Disney to scout RB's and Wideouts. 11 year old Mike Waters looked promising, Shanahan said he had the type of vision thats ideal for his system.

@RichCampbell - Skins go to local hospitals baby ward throwing things at babies to see who can catch. Say competition helps everyone.

@RichCampbell - Skins visit local sperm bank, hope to bread receivers and running backs.

@RichCampell - Skins visit paleontology department at Oxford. Claim to be looking for past organisms in the evolutionary cycle that could be bread as receivers and running backs

@RichCampbell - Skins build space ship for recruiting trips to other worlds looking for receivers and running backs.

@RichCampbell - Skins study string theory. Hope to recruit receivers and running backs from parallel universes.
Vinny, look who is talking giving away 3rd pick? .no waythe 5rd from new england
?if I recall dixon won gaves last yr. Ohh I forgot all u guys love rexy! Must be because of the name . Cause hes horrible
Dixon only won 2 games last year. And the 2nd was a gimme because he got injured in the first quarter of the 2nd one and Charlie Batch played the rest of that game. And in the first one he didn't even throw or run for a touchdown, the Steelers beat the Falcons 15-9 because Mendenhall had a 50 yard touchdown run in OT. Dixon may be good but face it, he's no sure thing either. He's spent 3 years as a backup in Pittsburgh and played in 1 1/4 games last year before he got injured and shut down for the season. And yeah, you pegged us, we love Rex Grossman because of his name, not because he's an okay quarterback.

Just curious. How many Redskins fans on this board are planning on not watching and/or not rooting for the Redskins in Week 1 because they feel McNabb didn't get a fair chance? If you are truly rooting for McNabb, go watch the Vikings. See if he gets a fair shot there instead.
