Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
You know how they say the best ability is availability, well by not getting vaccinated Sweat put his availability in jeopardy, and here we are. It's not about blaming him, it's just the reality of the situation. We needed all hands on deck against Dallas. Very frustrating all around.

Sweat needs to have a big year next year or gotta strong feeling it’s gonna be adios from Ron Just my feeling…and I think it is about accountability at this point. I got zero problem pointing a fucking finger when Sweat told everybody over the summer “I don’t need to get vaccinated cause I haven’t got covid yet” . Sorry you give me a window to look in to see how you reason shit out then that’s on u when there are consequences. IMO Sweat got some splaing to do |
Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Ok, because I thought you said that the point was that Sweat's decision not to get vaccinated might cost us a game or two, and possibly the playoffs, but I see that you meant that he could take down others because of his decision.
Anyway, the NFL says he doesn't have to stay away from the team, he just has to follow different rules than those that are vaccinated. Just like Aaron Rodgers, who seemingly gets a pass because of who he is and what he means to his team. I'm sure if Aaron Rodgers was on this team, the tune a lot of people are singing in here would be different.
Well if we are talking about winning and losing it would because Rodgers is the team. Sweat not so much. In other words, you lose Rodgers it doesn’t really matter if the entire rest of the team is on the covid list you aint winning shit. As far as vaccines neither gets a pass and they are both wrong imo. But im trying to keep this focused on football. |

Someone needs to revisit that statement with him. |
Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Sweat's answer was beyond dumb, but he also seemed ill prepared to answer the question. Which is also dumb because he should have known he would be asked about it, instead he came off like a total dope. Maybe he just is, who knows.

The Packers media has hung him in effigy in regards to his "i'm immunized" statement, putting the press at risk due to his actions and costing them the one seed in the NFC due to losing a game they would have won with him at QB (of course Arizona helped them out with that yesterday). |

Personally I liked how Ron brought in Dr. Corbett, who was integral in creating the Moderna vaccine, to have her explain how vaccines and viruses work to the team and he said "I need to research more facts" That just showed how blatantly dumb he is to me. |

Yeah, I never mentioned the Packers media. I'm talking about what's going on in here, and the fact that we wouldn't be having the Sweat conversation if it was Rodgers in his place. Anyway, they won three out of their last four since all that went down and you don't hear about his vaccination status anymore do you? |
Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Not here you are right and while fans have moved on the Packers podcasts and media are still bringing it up

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Seems like NFL teams are experiencing the COVID breakouts as there are now multiple players across NFL are being placed on the COVID list. Maybe we will get to see some replacements games!

Being vaccinated doesn't seem to help. |
Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
It might.

It helps keep people out of the hospital and off ventilators. So yeah, it helps lessen the severity. |

As far as football it is a lesser time away if you are vaccinated. So it seems to help in every way imo actually. Whether we are talking about life or football. |
