Re: 2012 redskins
I have had a man crush on Ben Grubbs since he came out of Auburn, he is also better than anyone currently on our team at the position.
Look man, I love DeCastro, I think he's a great player, but this line's weakness is Tackle, so Martin is more likely, I don't see us going guard until atleast 3rd round.
Yes and no, both G and T need shoring. When you have the best G prospect since Hutchinson you go for him, not only that but he's a pulling guard. have you seen him play? The guy is fantastic, the running game would be awesome, which opens the passing game. Smith can play even though you think, Shanahan does so do many writers out there. |
Re: 2012 redskins
I would not have a problem with the team adding a top OL propest with our first pick in the draft if that is the most beneficial move for the squad. If we can find a QB in FA and not have to worry about moving up in the draft to grab him then we can use our 6th pick to add someone of importance. It is also nice to have 4 picks in the first 100. We can add some starters with those picks.

Aaron Rodgers said today that he believes that Matt Flynn will leave to become a starter next year, and that he believes that Matt Flynn is a top 10 NFL QB. I remember hearing reports on one of those pregame shows (ESPN, FOX, CBS) that Matt Flynn was playing better than Aaron Rodgers in their practices, in terms of accuracy, calling plays, identify the blitz, etc. Yeah I know Its Practice, but when the organization is hyping him up that much, and he throws for 6 TD's, it makes you lean more towards he's a boom more than a bust. |

Hahaha Yes! Of Course I have seen him play! I watched him against Oregon, USC, and OK St, he was the same consistent player against all guys. I just feel like he's the same case as say a Trent Richardson; Great player, but not a Major need like QB, CB, ILB, Tackle, WR. |
Re: 2012 redskins
Like I said we trade down u pick him, I'm more concerned with OL than WR. It all starts in the trenches. We need an OL that manhandles defenses.

If so then GB players and coaches would be talking him up just to add to his trade value that could benefit the Packers in the long run. It is an angle that you should look if GB decides to take that approach this coming Feb. |

Plus they need to get a deal done with Finley so they might want to use the tag on him instead. They'll definitely have some tough decisions to make. I don't see them letting him walk for nothing either. |

Funny you should bring up Flynn and franchising him |
Re: 2012 redskins
Matty- for sure that would be the gamble and problem with actually doing that, but hey just thought I would bring it up for the hell of it. ;)
Cult- thanks for the quick link on that! way to do your homework and bring the a game. ha! |
Re: 2012 redskins
Here is my adjusted hopefull 2012 Roster.
QB: RGIII, Vince Young or Josh Johnson Practice Squad: Kellen Moore RB: Helu, Royster, Hightower, LaMichael James FB Darrell Young WR: Hankerson, Royal, Gaffney, Austin, Armstrong, Paul, Moss, Stallworth, Plaxico Burress, A. Robinson ( Not all these guys make it to opening day roster but I want competition) TE: Cooley, Davis, Paulsen T: Williams, Brown, Polumbus, Smith G: Chester, Hurt, Gurode, Mid draft rookie pick like Phillip Blake possible G/C or Brewster C: Lichtensteiger NT: Neild, Cofield, Baker, Paul Soliai (if we could pick up Soliai I'd move Cofield to DE DE: Bowen, Jenkins, Carriker, Igor Olshansky, Kentwan Balmer (competition for 53) LB: Alexander, Fletcher, Kerrigan, Orakpo, Riley, DQwell Jackson-(could replace Fletch), Fox, White CB: Barnes, Hall, Wilson, Westbrook, Thompson, I would say Grimes but his price tag may be too high. Brandon Carr instead FS: Atogwe, Gomes SS: Landry (only if he has achielies surg), Doughty K: Gano- I know many don't like him but I feel we put him in bad spot a lot of times Draft someon better if need be, lol. P: Rocca Notable caskoff Banks- James can do everything he does and more. |

Other than Matt Flynn, what other QB are slated to be free agents? Would you rather for the Browns to sign Flynn which would undoubtedly assure us of drafting RG3? If this scenario happens, then more than likely the Redskins wouldn't have to trade up since the Browns are projected to take Alabama's Trent Richardson. Or would you rather the Skins keep their draft picks and sign a free agent QB? Free Agent QBs rarely pan out like ones who are drafted high. |
Re: 2012 redskins
I just think there is alot to play out before the draft with FA and teams releasing guys, you never know who may be available.
