Re: NFL Week 15
Saints have the Dolphins , Panthers and Falcons left..
They will most likely win 2 of those. we basically need to go 3-1 at worst over the next 4. Gonna be tough |

Not true at all. Similarly to both of us at 6-7 and we're ahead of 'em.... The same applies if we win Tuesday. We control our destiny as long as we continue to win. |

What a terrible football game. Gross. Thanks Tom!

We control our destiny as long as we continue to win.
Even if we win, the Saints would be in the playoffs if the playoffs started today. We have to win 3 of our last 4 to have a chance to be in the playoffs. SF, NO, and us are basically vying for the last 2 playoff spots. SF(8-6) has the Titans, Houston, and Rams NO (7-7) and beat us head to head) has Miami, Panthers, and Falcons we have Philly 2x, Dallas, and NYG edit if Minn NO and WFT are 7-7 we get the wildcard spot on conference record if Minn loses to Chicago and goes to 6-8 NO gets the wildcard based on head to head |

It’s basically us , NO and Philly fighting for the 7 seed. Unfortunately with this team, it’s never an easy in. We should beat the giants but it’s going to be tough beating Dallas on SNF. Tuesday is a must win or else we are most likely done. |

Hate to say it but that’s what happens when you start fucking 2-6. Play with fire and you will get burned eventually. |

Minnesota(6-7) could make a run too, they play Chicago 2 x but also GB and LARams. |
Re: NFL Week 15
Ok so it’s a 3 way tie with Minnesota. If the Vikings win tomorrow and we win Tuesday we are the 7 seed again . If the Vikings lose then the saints are ahead of us with the head to head.

Do the saints control there destiny ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If three or more teams are tied they use conference record. We have a good conference record (3 losses) which put us to the top of the 6-7 pile. Right now, the 7-7 teams are only the Saints, the winner of our game, and Minnesota if they win. If Minnesota were to lose to Chicago, then NO beats us because of head to head, but if all three are tied at 7-7 then WFT gets the spot because we have 3 conference losses, Minn has 4 and NO has 5. Like was said, no matter what we have to win to be in the discussion. |
Do the saints control there destiny ?
Pretty much. If they win out they are in. SF has the tougher road, and using the ESPN playoff machine, http://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine , they fall out of it if we do our job and they lose to the teams with better winning %. |
Re: NFL Week 15
I kind of like how the nfl has scheduled so many of the leagues divisional games for so many teams in the last month. It's def making for a very exciting playoff race. Only 1 team clinched in the nfc. It's going to be really exciting for so many teams in the final stretch.

Bucs shutout by Saints and Cardinals mollywhopped by Detroit

They should balance the divisional game in the beginning and end of the season.

What did Terrell Suggs use to say about Big Ben? His soul may be long to god but his ass belongs to me. The Saints defense can say the same thing about Tom Brady.

It's not like they are playing in late August their 152 game of the season and their club is in the midst of a losing season. That is why I have so many Oriole giveaway stuff. |

I heard this. They were yelling a bunch of other stuff that is not repeatable - all aimed at the refs who were down right stank ass last night. How long is the league going to keep trotting out these bums? They have got to fix this. The Bears had so many terrible calls that went against them. |

I don’t understand how Logan Thomas hit which ended his season is legal, yet the cornerback who made an amazing tackle for loss last night is a 15 yard penalty because in making the tackle he dove in front of the Oline man who was out of the tackle box blocking no one. I’ve seen this a couple times and it’s pure garbage |

That is just so bad yet w/ Thomas no flag. How can they explain that? If I didn't have money on that game I would have turned it off. The quality of football mixed in w/ shitty officials has really hurt the NFL. |

I’ve seen this a couple times and it’s pure garbage
I think overall NFL rules are badly written. The NCAA/IFAF rules make a lot more sense. The low block rule being a good example. Defense: allowed to go low 5yards from the LoS in both directions. Block has to be initiated from the front, no low block on the side. Offense : no further than 5y past the LoS. Block initiated from the front, except from linemen inside the tackle box. No block towards the initial position of the ball outside the tackle box (in essence, block has to be made in the direction the play is going). Once the ball has left the tackle box, no low block towards your own endzone. Good compromise of players safety and making sense IMO. |
