Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
I had a bad experience with tequila many years ago, and since the smell has made me nauseous. I can deal with a margarita....
that being said...if i wanted to try something again, whats a good brand thats kind of available everywhere, and how would i drink it? like a scotch? neat or rocks? any drinks i should look up how to make? pack attack: 47 httwft: 10
So after years of trying different expensive tequilas…1800 (silver) is my favorite. Great taste. I buy the Goya Mango nectar (usually in supermarket by all the goya stuff) and mix it up with a shot on the rocks. If you cant find goya I suppose any mango nectar will do. I also enjoy just doing a shot of it if im in a rush - got a nice taste - no salt necessary. Oh I don’t know if you partake but I always feel the need to say do not go overboard with the tequila when partaking. Ooof. Them - 42 Us - 23 |

Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
I gotta feeling we see a different team today…but not enough to win.

Sorry for the off topic chat....thats really all we have anymore, though.
Yeah that's really out of the line man. It would be highly appreciated if you could stir the conversation back to serious things such as how well our secondary is gonna keep Davante Adams in check, and how Aaron Rodgers is gonna struggle against our elite front seven (now that Collins is officially a LB). |
Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
Washington CB William Jackson (knee) is OUT today against Green Bay, per source.
Washington's corners today against Aaron Rodgers: * Kendall Fuller * Benjamin St-Juste * Corn Elder * Danny Johnson * Troy Apke Those last 3 have a combined zero defensive snaps this season. - Ben Standig |
Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
This is gonna be a brutal ass kicking.

Is he going to be listed as lb, or did Rivera just kind of say that he pictures him at lb? I think this one is gonna be brutal. I think Gibson is put early, and mckisic can't handle the role of every down back. Heineken running for his life, and the d playing the exact we've seen. I hope I'm wrong...but there hasn't really even been a glimmer of hope this year against real teams, and only a little glimmer against bad ones. |

Truer words have never been said. I'm on that Sam adams oktoberfest tip today for the game. Woo! |
Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
Sure didn't take long for cutting Hopkins to blow up in our faces eh?
|
Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
Cutting him was one thing, having a viable alternative is quite another

Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
Add kicker to the offseason priority list.
|
Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
I couldn’t imagine hiring someone this incapable of doing the job at my work.
Not doing due diligence to see if the new kicker could elevate the ball past the los is another knock against Ron. Just negligence |
Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
He was brought in to the practice squad and elevated after 2 weeks. Presumably he was kicking in practice and not just stood around all day watching Hopkins. I'd suggest, as he'd never kicked in an NFL game before, practice conditions didn't prep him for the real thing. Could be a case of the yips and he'll get better, but if this is something he can't get over, then bye bye hopefully.
I criticise RR because if you're shopping for a kicker mid season, you should look for a proven vet. Why grab a kid off the street and only have what he does in practice as your yardstick? Seems Hopkins being bounced was more of a 'look I'm happy to cut poor performers' message to the team, rather than an honest attempt to improve things. If we are considering swapping again, we should move fast. Steelers Boswell is likely out a week or 2 (concussion) so they'll grab the best available before we get a look in if we're not careful. |
Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)
At this time of year Blewitt is the best that is available, that is the problem. If Ron and co had dealt with this in the offseason, like moving Collins to LB, they would have been much better off. Waiting until the middle of the season and cutting a guy when there never was likely to be a viable alternative is just stupid. Question is how much did the ST coach have to do with this?
