My only concern is do we need to see if there isn't a common consensus on how it originated? If you have 5 agencies and 3 different theories on how it originated it ain't much help. We need more evidence before a solid consensus is reached.

While we're in the common ground thread - wtf happened to the rental car industry nowadays?

Going out of town soon and I'm using Kyte for the first time because all the usual suspects are charging 40-60 a day for a $20 sedan. I typically use Autoslash to find the best deal but all the names on there are totally unfamiliar, Mex Rent-a-car, Kyte, NextCar, Easirent, Fox (who I absolutely loathe after a horrible experience in Denver), Economy, and then Hertz are the best-to-worst in terms of affordability.

Only ever used Enterprise or get a loaner straight from the dealer. Never had a problem.
