Well Louis likes him.

Swiss army knife type player ... that's RR's wheelhouse.

Home run threat.

We'll see.
What a shit pick
Picks are usually "shit picks" when it goes against what we want.

Honestly, I don't know enough about him to say one way or another.

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

He値l be a tweener gadget type player for us. I think with that OT Jones sitting there and literally no starting tight end on our roster we should have went with one of those two positions. Is he a receiver? Or a running back? Genuine question

Questionable pick. His game reminds me of Cordarrelle Patterson.

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

We have legitimate holes. That position is not one of them. Very frustrating. It's not against him either. I guess if he was their BPA then I shouldn't have a problem with it.

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

Antonio Gibson Overview
"Big athlete with position versatility" will be a tag from some, but it's vague and lacks projection. While Gibson is a one-year wonder, his 14 career touchdowns on just 77 touches demand attention. He played more slot than running back in college, but he was a runner in high school and has an intriguing combination of size, burst, vision and power. He is a four-phase player on Day 1 with the ability to return kicks, cover them and create matchup problems for linebackers out of the backfield. The sample size is extremely limited and he needs a developmental runway, but Gibson has exciting upside as a pro.

Strengths
Makes explosive plays in running, receiving and return game
Offers additional matchup possibilities for coordinators
Runs much faster than it looks
High school sprinter with breakaway potential
Had seven total touchdowns of 40-plus yards
Quick gather and cut on stretch plays
Big runner who absorbs and dismisses angle tackles
Decisive runner and gets to a quality burst
Sees space well with ball in his hands
Sells route stems to tilt coverage off-balance

Weaknesses
Only one season of production
Has 34 career rush attempts
Hip tightness limits fluidity in the open field
Needs more discipline to keep runs on track when it's there
Still learning patience and to set up blocks
Only saw offset stretch runs and jet sweeps as a back
Rolls and drifts in his route breaks
Takes too long getting in and out of breaks

He値l be our Deebo Samuel, 4.39 speed. Might be a good compliment to McLaurin.

He's not a RB guys they messed that up.

Had reps at RB but mainly a WR. Still a F置p by Goodell.

In the 3rd you pick on potential and he has a ton

He said in a pre draft interview most teams see him lining up primarily at RB

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

Yeah, hes a receiver.

Curtis Samuel type. Fast, fast, fast

FrenchSkin 04-24-2020 09:52 PM

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

2nd pick in the 3rd round is a bit early to draft pure need oriented.
Plus RR wanted Cooper badly in FA, didn't get him, wants to bulk our receiving corps up.
TE and OT is a bit of a worry, but not gonna go crazy on this pick.

sdskinsfan2001 04-24-2020 09:57 PM

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

At least we didn't pick a QB with our 2nd pick. Lol Philly. They win 1 Super Bowl then just start Shaqtin' a Fool.

SFREDSKIN 04-24-2020 09:58 PM

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

They will use Gibson like 49ers use Deebo Samuel, very similar players. Line him as a RB and play WR, I trust Kyle with this pick.

Randall Nestor 04-24-2020 09:58 PM

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

Just have to trust Kyle Smith with his evaluations.

sdskinsfan2001 04-24-2020 09:59 PM

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

My initial frustration is already gone. This team does need more playmakers, regardless of position. And if they're going BPA on their board, gotta let them do what they want to do.

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

The Vikings drafted an OT in the 2nd round, chances of trading TW are getting slimmer and slimmer...

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

Gibson will be a steal like Terry just watch and Trent is not getting moved.

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 2-3

I am kinda glad we didn't go for the Dayton TE. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think there are bigger conference TE's out there who have as much potential, that we can get much later.

OLine is where I'd like some early picks. Jones just went to Arizona.

That Shadiq Charles T from LSU could be solid. Maybe we'll grab him next.

There goes Jones.

Just watching a few highlights, he doesn't look like he is that fast 4.39 on tape. I guess he is though.

We値l probably get Asiasi for TE.

Goodell is a robot or something. Nothing he says feels natural. Its weird.

Yeah he didnt look that fast. The RB Taylor from Wisconsin didn't either. But he had the same 40 time. Interesting how speed can look so different but be the same.

It's like what weighs more, a lb of steel or a lb of feathers. Looks different but isn't.

Only took until pick 75 but Goodell finally got tired reading those cards every 10 minutes and had to move to sit in his easy chair. Lol

That痴 what I致e been saying, he値l be better. McLaurin and Gibson are going to terrorize Defensive coordinators.

Thought it was funny that he's just printing those cards at home. They look the exact same as if it wasn't virtual.

Scouting report on him I read said he痴 faster than his tape looks.
