Bradberry had a 59.3 REC PERCENTAGE against this yr, 48 rec/81 targets.

Not 15M a yr worth

Bradberry not worth money. Sign Dunbar and Breeland.

I def would do this before spending 15 million for Bradberry. He have a lot of cap space, but if we waste it doesn’t matter.

I’m yeah it matters if we waste it. If we are tied up in garbage FA players in a few years it will hamper us from continuing to build our team. That statement makes no sense.

It always seems that every average player thinks he will be the one who deserves to reset the market, I think Bradberry will still be available after a few weeks at a much more reasonable price.... they all think they are stars....see Dunbar, Quinton

Bradberry... sounds like Ron is on a mission to complete Carolina North.

It does seem the Redskins have a history of not getting what they pay for with high dollar free agents under Snyder.

Should be interesting with all the quarterbacks that could hit the market and with 3 that could be picked top 10.

The Los Angeles Chargers would like to work out a multi-year deal with tight end Hunter Henry, who is set to be a free agent. But they are more than likely willing to franchise tag him, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

The franchise tag would pay Henry a little over $11 million in 2020, per Over the Cap. That would be a significant increase in pay on his $1.2 million base salary for 2019.

When healthy, he is easily one of the league’s top tight ends. He’s averaging 8.9 yards per target and has 17 touchdowns in 41 games. Along with his impressive skillset as a pass-catcher, Henry has been a reliable run-blocker.
https://chargerswire.usatoday.com/2020/03/01/report-chargers-likely-to-franchise-tag-te-hunter-henry/

Hunter Henry appears to be off the market. That sucks, he seemed to be the better pass catcher btw Hooper but probably not as good of a blocker but still a good blocker.

Back the Brinks truck up for Hooper. Get it done.

All I want for Christmas are my two front targets (Hooper in FA and Chase in draft).

We have the cap space and the cap is going to increase. Pay the man.

Two players I’m told are being shopped around, per sources in Indy: Cordy Glenn (Bengals) and Trai Turner (Panthers). If no trade partner can be found, Glenn would be released.

Turner over Moses???

Cordy Glenn has struggled with injuries for years, has a $9.5 million cap number, will turn 31 in September and had similar injury-chemistry problems in Buffalo before the Bills were happy to unload his contract via trade.

Guard Trai Turner on the other is 26-year-old, will be just 27 by the start of training camp, has been to five straight Pro Bowls, and has two years remaining on the four-year, $45 million contract he signed with Carolina back in 2017.
His cap hit does bump up to nearly $13 million for 2020 and balloons to $15.4 million in 2021, so that could be part of the reason why the Panthers are allegedly looking to cut bait.
Question for the Cap experts on this site:, if the Panthers $13 million cap number in 2020 for Turner is broken down to $8.5 million in base salary and $3.9 Millions in prorated bonus, how much of that goes to the new team? The entire thing ro just the base salary? Cause $8.5 Million is not terrible for 27 year old five time probowler, $13 million is too much.

I mean, Ill take this Ron connection over Bradberry at 15 mill. I think you have to look at how much would you offer Flowers at a resigning and if a couple million more per to get Turner....then you get Turner. Having Schreff Rouierre/Martin and Turner in the interior...shit, sign me up. That's solid

EdmundDorf 03-03-2020 09:29 AM

Re: 3/18 @4pm NFL Free Agency & Trading Period

I am sure Schneed will have the exact details but I think the new team would only have to cover the salary not the bonuses.... . So it would be a good contract for a pro bowler in their prime, but because of that they will want a good haul of draft picks in return..... which the Redskins dont have. They likely wont take players as a swap because this trade tells us that they are in rebuild mode. But someone like Seattle, New England or Philapdelphia will be at the head of the queue

Laremy Tunsil wants $19-20 million per season

Last week from the NFL scouting combine, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle cited sources that said Tunsil wants “at least” between $19-20 million per season. Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles is the highest paid offensive lineman in the NFL at $18 million per season.

Texans paid a lot to get Tunsil

Just before last season, the Texans shipped a 2020 first-round pick, a 2021 first-round pick, a 2021 second-round pick, cornerback Johnson Bademosi and tackle Julien Davenport to the Texans for Tunsil, wide receiver Kenny Stills, a 2020 fourth-round pick and a 2021 sixth-round pick. The key to that trade, without question, was Tunsil.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/texans-ot-laremy-tunsil-who-reportedly-wants-1920-million-per-year-fires-agent-174908639.html

Texans, I understand why you went all in. You have Hopkins, Watson, JJ Watt is getting older ... and to a degree if kinda worked. You were sitting in the Division playoffs up 21-0 in the 1st Q against the eventual SB winning Chiefs.

How the hell did you not have a sign and trade or some kind of new LTD agreed to w Tunsil BEFORE the trade.

2 1st rounders .... are walking out your door.

Tough break. The kinda gamble that could set you back a ways.

This is why you need to draft OL every year. 20 million a year for Tunsil. Yeah right. Bye bye. Due to what they gave up they might have to pay up though.

Re: 3/18 @4pm NFL Free Agency & Trading Period

Franchise Scherff for this season then let him walk next year. Resign Flowers and plug Martin in at RG in 2021.

Trade Trent too and draft his replacement with the pick.

Id be interested to see the breakdown of how 1st Round OTs perform over a career vs OTs drafted 2nd round and later. Just going off memory and perception ... it seems like a large majority of premier OTs go 1st round. im sure there are some 2nd rounders that pan out and maybe one or two late round picks ..... but it just seems like if you want a true anchor, you have to go 1st round pick for a OT, more than any other position.

I guess, id rather go G, C or TE in rounds 3-7 vs ending up w a Geron Christian.

Im surprised there arent more college TEs who have no shot at playing TE at the NFL level bc of lack of speed but have the footwork and physical make up arent being groomed for OT spots like Dunbar went from WR to CB.

With a new CBA around the corner get ready for contracts to go through the roof. We're not far off from $20M a year for a premium OL.

Tom contract demands are overblown...San Fran I believe is close to where he grew up and I think he was a 49ers and Montana/young fan growing up. This isn’t about the money, he will go a place he can win a championship which is the Pats or a “now” contender

I does seem strange that all of a sudden the talking heads claim Brady wants to get paid after never prioritizing money in the past. Flipping stations driving around yesterday so I don't know where I heard it, rumor has it the rift in New England is due to Brady steering players toward his people when it comes to rehabbing injuries and not using the Patriot staff and facilities. Supposedly control freak Belichick isn't happy about that.

Tom is from San Mateo 20 minutes from Levy Stadium, if this happens he might recruit Julian Edelman who is from Redwood City, right down the road. Personally I doubt all this will happen, there is a fan poll going around and 71% want Jimmy G.

True. Aside from Collins last year.... and Norman a few years prior to that...

In today's NFL it's basically whoever the most recently signed player is that will set the market at that position.

Who knows what is smoke and what is real interest at this stage. Interesting if true though bc that would mean 2 NFC E teams are in and, presumably, they would know the player better than non-division teams.

Bradberry or Jones ... I assume we add one, and am resigned to the fact that we will have to overpay but with top end FAs that what you have to do.

Just hope its in the 15M range at most.

Fuck it, sign em both (Bradberry and Jones). Throw in Hooper. That's like 40-45 million in cap space for next year. We have 61. Think we can still create more by extending Kerrigan, etc. And the cap is supposedly going up quite a bit next couple years.

I wonder if Bradberry is Redskins' back up plan if they aren't able to sign Jones. That would would make more sense than the rumors that Bradberry is expected to sign with Redskins simply because of the connection to Riveria.

Seriously who wants Tom Brady? IMO he has one year left at best and you better surround him with an ALL PRO offense otherwise he isn't doing poop.
