If Alex is unable to resume his football career and he retires, will the Skins get cap relief for him?
No. Him having to retire would screw us the most. Really need him to be able to play. |

Re: The Josh Johnson Thread
Whatever game McCoy starts expect a lot of 3 and outs and a lot of 3 first downs per possession before TressWay punts....and Josh Johnson is a bum....his story is respectable....but he's still a bum....

He has operated the offense better than any qb on the team this year against two of the better defenses. He should be competing next year. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

The team is 15/29 on third downs since that “bum” took over

If the Skins get Daniel Jones in the draft he’s the guy who starts

Josh is playing with a lot of heart and with the team around him imploding he is playing remarkably.. so go ahead and call him a bum but the real bums are the high paid players who allready checked out.. go josh!! |
Re: The Josh Johnson Thread
I admire what Josh Johnson has done in the short time he has been here. He has been a breath of fresh air. Regardless of what QB decisions the Skins make going forward, Josh has my respect.

This. I thought we were doomed when ol' buttfumble was back there, Josh Johnson proved there are guys who can walk in off the street and still play admirably in one of the toughest positions in all of sports. I think he's at least earned the right to come back as insurance for next year. |

I agree with the posts above that say he has earned their respect. I also love the fact that he has stayed positive, and he is only focused on winning when he speaks in his press conferences; not all the negative shit going on. He is thankful for everything he’s been given, and is working his ass off to earn more opportunities. I also like that he wears a shirt that says “Family First”. It tells where his head is at, and what he probably thinks of his teammates. I’d have NO problem with him starting over McCoy AND Smith next season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would keep him as a back up over Colt. They are both the same age and Colt is injury prone. Also JJ's threat to run makes him entering a game a major shift on how a defense has to play. |

As our quarterback situation stands right now he is the starter. Please do not give some bum like Flacco a shit ton of money when he won’t make a difference. We need to draft well, and use our money wisely. Draft one late this year as a project or go in the shitter again and wait until the next class - it is going to be a much deeper one for quarterbacks. |

JJ has bounced around the league for a reason. Would have no problem with him starting opening day next year. I believe he could have some early success, that will diminish as more film of him running the offense at the time is gathered. He could be a place holder while a rookie is groomed. I don't think we have to worry about a Flacco or equivalent due to how much cap money is taken by Alex Smith the next couple years. The Redskins need to get a QB in the draft. |

Yes, Daniel Jones or BUST Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Jones is kind of ok. I've seen a few of his games and not overly impressed. He gets hype because of the Cutcliff connection.

We’re really not in a spot to be picky, he looked good at times considering he was in the building for what, 3-4 weeks total? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Exactly and the Redskins aren't a player or two away from being a contender anyway, they need a major rebuild. With Smith's contract they are going to have to develop a rookie QB. Might as well let JJ start the season and call it a rebuilding year. Time to clean house player wise and start over. |

He’s not a bum. He hasn’t had a chance to stick around with a team long enough to do anything. For not playing in a NFL game as long as he did he impressed me this year. He’s a smart player just needs more snaps. Johnson was the number 1 pick in the Alliance of America QB Draft. He had a good few games with us there till the end. I would head down there for a year or two where he knows he’s gunna get playing time and the competition is going to be a little weaker. That will give him time to work on his game as a consistent starter and give it one last run to be a starting NFL QB. Why would he stay with the skins to ride the bench. We need him more than he needs us. |
