Not gonna argue for hours over this, it's a small thing. Just adds to the feeling that Jay is not a great leader.
I mean what edge does it give Josh to have been a back up on a team with Jay as an offensive assistant for one season that justifies signing him over guys that have been deemed good enough to at least stay in the NFL ? And again I know it's not a big thing and there was no great back up QB available. Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk
They were also in Cincy together. No matter who they signed if he has to play anytime soon we're doomed anyway. Hell we're doomed with Sanchez. Anytime you're on your 3rd and 4th QB options of the season you're pretty much royally fucked. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Dunbar , Quinn and Cooper all done for season per team site...
So yeah folks tank mode is on |
whats up with Quinn?
I'd imagine they are just shutting him down to save him from more injury since he is always banged up.. Dude comes in for one game and plays well and is lost for the year after... LOL This fucking team man |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Dunbar , Quinn and Cooper all done for season per team site...
So yeah folks tank mode is on
Dunbar has a nerve injury, those are tough to heal right away and there is really no timetable for recovery from what I've heard. It makes not sense to keep him on the active roster, when you need to bring in more replacement. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Damn was kinda hoping Quinn would get more reps.
Agree with Ruh, Dunbar hasn't been right since this nerve shit came up. Im hoping this isn't career threatening. CB is a major need on the team. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Yeah at this point might as well root for 4 losses, 6-10 could bring a decent draft pick and it's not like we'd do anything in the playoffs even if we miraculously - and I mean MIRACULOUSLY - made them.

JP Finlay just tweeted the IR list (the IR players are at the bottom)
That's 17 players on IR, with 6 of them being starters (if you count Guice as a starter). |

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
We have 5 rookies IR'd, that would be unreal in and of itself. But even with that we have 6 rookies on the 53 man roster, and of those 4 have seen significant positive playing time (Payne, Strohman, Danny Johnson, and Settle). Of the 5 IR'd we could have expected good play time from several - Guice, Quinn, and possibly Sims (Apke and Christian played, but not sure it counted as Good play time). My point in this is back to my argument that QB aside (and the owner/past qb's/past coaches factored into that quagmire) the FO of Allen and Williams has done a good job acquiring talent. The RIGHT coach could do a lot with this squad.

Someone you've worked with in the past and are familiar with or some schmoe you know nothing about? It's a people business, not Madden where you just pick up a guy with the best attributes. If we were looking for a long term backup this silly argument would actually hold some water. We need someone for 4 weeks, and worse yet someone who might need to play this weekend with no time to start from scratch with. |

How fucking nuts would it be if Mark got hurt Sunday and Josh Johnson had to play?? LOL That would be the icing on the cake for a disaster of a season at the QB position

It could happen. Jordan Reed could be taking snaps by season's end. |

This was on facebook. Really sad everyone is laughing at the no name QB we signed today. I thought Dirty Sanchez was bad, this is terrible. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
I just saw a stat that we're the only NFL franchise in the last 27 years that hasn't hit 11 wins (and we cannot do so this season).
Jesus. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
This whole organization is a laughing stock right now, Dan Snyder should clean house if he really cared about the fans.
Defense led them to NFC championship last year. Funny thing is how all the talk last year was how he was going to a perfect place for him.
I don't think it's all on Cousins but he was supposed to take them to the promised land and instead you hear their fans sounding like this board the last 2 seasons. Some people defending KC and some ripping him for his untimely errors. KC is who he was here. He will set records, put up stats and still manage to make terrible plays at terrible moments which keep a team from winning key games.
Wtf would Cousins or any quarterback ever possibly have to do with the defense from one year to the next or a run game that goes from really good to really fucking bad? |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
All this talk about season over, and it most likely is, but if we beat the Giants this weekend Kool aid will be a flowing. Lol.
Wtf would Cousins or any quarterback ever possibly have to do with the defense from one year to the next or a run game that goes from really good to really fucking bad?
Here's a snippet or two:
http://www.espn.com/blog/minnesota-vikings/post/_/id/27430/whats-behind-issues-for-kirk-cousins-nfls-most-prolific-fumbler Since becoming a starting quarterback for the Washington Redskins in 2015, Cousins leads the NFL in fumbles with 37, having lost 16, also a league-high, according to ESPN Stats & Information ... Cousins has six fumbles in the Vikings' past four games, four of which were recovered by the other team. And with every turnover created by a Cousins fumble, Minnesota’s opponent was able to capitalize. ... Had Cousins not fumbled at the Rams' 48-yard line during the two-minute drill during a 38-31 loss to Los Angeles, the Vikings would have had a shot to tie the game. In a Week 6 win over the Cardinals, Cousins was strip-sacked and safety Budda Baker returned it for a touchdown.
Defense is dependent on an offense that doesn't turn it over, and on an offense that doesn't set up the D in a bad position. As to the run game, remember that Case Keenum extended plays and Kirk never showed a knack for that, he would run once in a while but extending plays wasn't his thing:
http://www.startribune.com/case-keenum-s-legs-are-extending-plays-vikings-super-bowl-hopes/467040873/Case Keenum's legs are extending plays, Vikings' Super Bowl hopes Case Keenum has a knack for creating something out of nothing with his athleticism
Dalvin Cook was IR'd last year just like this year, their line is basically the same, they have LMurray as the second back like last year. The biggest difference is that KC has thrown it as many times already as Keenum did all last year. That's on the playcaller change which certainly affected it, but also I am sure KC's throwing ability encourages it, unfortunately putting the game more in his fumbling hands. Anyway that was a lot of mumbo jumbo. Like I said, you want to like and pine for KC, that's fine. I was obviously glad we moved on from him. I do wish our QBs didn't break their legs. |

This... thank you. My plane for DC leaves in a 4 hours, I needed a little bit of hope... I have to say when I woke up this morning I thought: hey we still have a talented enough roster to win this game... I just don't know that Jay has what it takes to get the guys to rally... But maybe some in this locker can step up and lead them to a victory... God I feel like a girl who's been cheated on, dumped and called back, back and forth 50 times over 2 years, and who still wants to believe her man can change and become the great guy she knows he can be... |

Exactly what I thought when Colt went down. This team is going nowhere now...and if IF by some chance we do have a new REAL GM next season and new head coach, a better draft pick is more valuable than any more wins this season. |

The next 2 games are the only games Mark could manage the game and we could win, only because these 2 opponents are also out of the hunt. I still don't want to win, we would get destroyed in the WC game by Chicago or Dallas so why even go through that? No thanks. I'd rather go 6-10 and get a top 10 pick |

I'm not rooting for 4 losses but if they do happen I will not be upset about it. Enjoying ~4 wins this season < getting better draft position for next season.
Frenchie, I wish you luck on your trip. If the Redskins pull out a win, I will be happy for you. |
